Spurs fans react to Hugo Lloris comments

Tottenham’s to-do list seems to be growing as every day passes. Of course, the club remain on the lookout for their next manager.

Meanwhile, Harry Kane reportedly wants to leave. And some players such as Serge Aurier have given a clear indication that they hope to follow him out of the exit door.
Lloris is another who has been asked about his future following the end of the campaign.

The 34-year-old is currently gearing up for Euro 2020 with France. But he is also having to deal with speculation. As shown by Transfermarkt, his contract expires next summer.

But when questioned about his future by Nice-Matin, Lloris did little to clear up what his plans are.
“I will answer these questions once the Euro is over,” he told Nice-Matin.

Lloris’s comments have been taken in a couple of ways by some of the Tottenham supporters.

Some have played down the notion that there is anything in them. They have insisted that it is a natural response given everything going on for club and country right now.

It may well be that Lloris – who earns £100,000-a-week, according to Spotrac – is, indeed, simply not thinking about his future for the time-being.

But others are concerned that he has dropped the clearest hint yet that he is looking to leave.
It was recently reported that he rejected a new contract with Spurs. So there are worries that he is ready to move on.
And with Lloris proving to be one of their best players in the final weeks of the season, it would appear that some fans would prefer for him to stay beyond this summer…

RD I agree...Hugo is the least of our worries in replacing...but we should get a solid understudy in to become our #1.

If Hugo does leave...well add that to the long list.
