In "Cloughie's day", at the time that we won the European Cup, Forest was the only League Club that operated actually as a club, rather than as a company. Although it became a company in 1982, it was the wrangling over that company, the change in the company structures, and who might gain and lose financially, was really what put Forest into the long- term decline they have been in. Sadly, the "board- room set up" is what has caused many of Forest's problems.
