How you voting ?

Nick Real Deal

Vital Football Legend
We have I think a fair cross section on here so where is your vote going?

My main issues are continued management of the economy. Brexit and dealing with the terror threat.

I am voting Tory .

I'm not a single party person but on this occasion I'll be voting Tory.

Interesting you are a floater. What are your reasons this time ?

My main reason is that I trust May to negotiate Brexit with the Eu far better than anyone else.

'You mean in my personal secret ballot? I'm definitely voting Tory!

Imagine the Labour Party running the budget? "Lets spend what we like of the people's money, there's plenty in the coffers. Give it away like there's no national debt. What does it matter? - The future generations will pay for it. Let as many immigrants in as possible. We can afford them. Give them all free treatment on the NHS, it has plenty of funds. Get rid of our defences, nobody will ever take us on.........".

Imagine a coalition of Corbyn and Sturgeon. Shudddeeerrrr........... Give everyone their own independence..... Imagine the chaos of everyone ruling themselves.... you think we get some difficulties now? Eventual Civil War? I may live in Wales but I would MUCH prefer to get rid of the Welsh Assembly and have ONE government again. There's too much of people's money being spent on 'Smurf HQ' as we call it in Wales. Sell the building and build another hospital or set up something that makes money to buy another hospital.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE THINK ABOUT THIS GREAT COUNTRY WE LIVE IN. Don't be silly with your vote, UNITE US. We can't afford to let division kill this nation, we need each other and we need UNITY like never before, especially on the security front with terrorists killing innocent people.

It is interesting how many people I have heard say ........how is he going to fund all the expenditure ? A mistrust of the financial viability of Labour. The problem is .....how many don't care about the funding and just see free this and free that.

There's a 300 billion hole in their manifesto - and after each 'free money' promise they make, it gets even bigger.

Every single labour government has let us in a financial mess - Corbyn will bankrupt us for a generation, investment will disappear overnight as will businesses and jobs., sure they'll be am orgy of spending of a couple of years and then the international creditors will raise our rates and we'll be spending more on our borrowings than we do now, our national debt will climb to unsupportable levels and we'll be going cap in hand like Greece for a bail-out..

As alluring as free money and socialism is - it never works, just look 20 odd miles across the water and see the mess France has got itself into...or further abroad and look at Venezuela...

So, two guesses who I'm voting for? :-)

SNP? :59:

National debt as a percentage of the size of the economy floated around 35-40% until the economic crisis. Since then, predominantly under the Tories, it's risen to about 85%.

Just out if interest, what has happened to spending in real terms?

That's understandable given the reliance on financial services. Has GDP recovered to pre 2008 levels?

Corbyn shagged Abbott in 1979 after he split up with his wife.

I knew there had to be a reason to keep that liability around.

dealing with the deficit, dealing with the mess that labour left after their last stint was never ever going to be easy - that said, I think we should have cut much faster and much harder and we'd probably be closer to solvency now.

The one absolute thing we all know is that labour would go on a spending splurge the likes of which we've never seen - brilliant, until they destroy the economy once again...(which they always do without fail)..

Always have and still will this time - Lib dem.

Admittedly, I'm not wildly keen on a lot of Farrons policies, but I still feel as though he's the most electable of the main party leaders.

Corbyn is an idealist, who's policies don't really have any place in the real world - however wonderful they sound, and while I admire May's pretty straight off the bat approach, I can't get on board with a lot of what her and her party stand for.

This election has presented very little options for anyone who sits in the centre of the political spectrum

I struggle to imagine the disdain that people must have towards Corbyn that turns them to even consider voting for May.

The global recession destroyed the economy. The national debt went up under Labour but, as you can see from the graphs, so did the economy size and GDP, until the crisis. (As for what Labour did with the money, well, it's not what I would have spent it on... Invest in infrastructure when the going is good)

It's easy to talk about needing more cuts when you're nicely insulated from them. I'd be interested to know which cuts you've had your life changed by...

As for this whole human rights thing... Someone please explain to me how removing our essential liberties is the correct way to combat extremists looking to undermine our essential liberties.

You don't have to imagine too hard, just look at his track record and his manifesto - we'd be buried yet again by labour by the time everyone realised they'd fcuked up yet again.
