At this point both Chavs and Pool have to deal with CL next season, no more free ride for them.
Chavs I feel have weakened their 11 - Morata for Costa seems like a downgrade, and while Bakayoko will be a world beater its his first season in the PL, and comes at the cost of Matic. Pedro just suffered a huge injury as well.
Pool Signed Salah and Solanke, but cant seem to get their targets in Kyote and VVD.
Everton have signed too many new players, they can easily bust.
Arse will finish top 6.

The 2 I see finishing ahead of us are the Mancs:
ManC are on a spending rampage and ManU.

I see another top 3 finish, unfortunately we haven't strengthened in time, and we all know how long it takes for any player to make an impact in Poch's setup. I just hope we prioritise cups and not go all out for all 4 comps.

It's amazing that our own players Eriksen and Mousa in the last two days say we don't need to spend big and that pundits who know the game say this - yet so many of our fans aren't in step with these views at all:

You keep making these unsupported claims. I haven't seen a single poster here who wants to spend "big" and this has pointed out countless times, yet you still repeat this.

All I see is fans want early signings within our means.

Whilst Danny disagrees

"We could have a bit of a better squad, depth in the squad," Rose told BBC 5 live. "Thankfully, nothing has ever happened to Dele since he's come to the club - imagine if that happened. Or if Christian got injured.

Very optimistic. Even though we are away from home I still believe we will smash all the bottom half teams. Obviously its how we perform against the top 6 that will be the key.

Team wise I am very optimistic. The Wembley factor is what bothers me most. If we fans can ramp up the volume of support so it feels like a home ground we should be ok. I just hope that I'm not in with a bunch of quiet fans again.

We are away from home, our rivals are signing good players, we are weaker without Walker. But still the loyalty blinkered see no reason to be pessimistic. Well I hope you all know something I don't and I will gladly eat my hat.

This. Unless we sign some players this week I can't feel excited.

38 away games, if we finish 4th I'd be over the moon (and surprised)

Pollo, I wasn't talking about here - do you follow spurs fans/ spurs official on Twitter - they all go one and on about making this a big spending window....

I'm confident but I don't think it will be as good a year in the league for us. I can see all the spending going on but I still don't see any 'sure things'.

City are spending big but there are no guarantees that Ederson, Danilo or Mendy will hit the ground running. City could be unbeatable going forward but still be shaky at the back. Man Utd have spent big but have they strengthened? They've replaced Ibrahimovich and Rooney (22 goals combined) with Lukaku (25 goals) who might not settle immediately into a new system and now has a MASSIVE amount of pressure on him, where he had very little at Everton.

Chelsea have made some big changes (even though I personally think they have done the best business this summer) so they could have some settling time. Arsenal have so far strengthened but if they lose Sanchez that is a HUGE loss for them because he has carried them through the last 2 seasons. Liverpool will be a force going forward but if they don't fix their defensive frailties then they won't kick on.

Our strength in depth could continue to be our downfall but in a way, people have already written us off which could be just what we need to sneak into the mix again. Never underestimate stability but I definitely think we would massively benefit from a fresh face or two so we have more depth.

I guess the minority is the loudest on social media.

Nope. Mongs are definitely the majority these days, on social media and IRL.
