How many does the shut top tier of the Trinity stand hold

I think it's around 7k isn't it.

Don;t think we've ever exceeded 35k with it closed, and the capacity is 42kish.

I think Deano is correct about 7 to 8k.
We had 30k the other night so still not filling the rest of the ground despite the good start

We averaged 34/35k in the Premier League so, for someone who has spent 60 years watching from the Trinity Upper, just reopen the bloody thing PLEASE.

The whole stand holds about 13,000 so I can’t see that top tier being 7,000. I think 4,000 would be about right as the bottom 2 together are much bigger, depends whether the executive seating is counted towards the overall capacity.

Only reason I ask is that we have not sold the following (as at 3.55 pm today)

343 in the Holte
2 in Trinty Lower
77 in Trinity Middle
76 in NS Lower
576 in NS Upper
1375 in away section
28 in DE lower
475 in DE Upper

Makes a total of £2952 not sold - half of which is Reading

Taking into account say 500 for segregation and allow 5k for Upper closed Trinity there should be £34048

or £32048 if it hold 7k

or £32548 if it holds 6.5 k

or £33,048 if it holds 6k

Fridays at work before Bank Holiday are pretty slow

I would guess around 5-6k. We typically seem to get around 34,000+ for big games with it closed, with a few unsold tickets seats and parts blocked off for segregation of away fans that would make up to the 42000 capacity

Now total of 381 not sold (Villa) - all Reading now sold out ? or is that that they have been removed from sale

Virtual home sell out except top tear so circa 35/36k?

Much more like it
