How long is JEDS contract

I've seen people suggest its only until next summer, but as he came to us in Feb 2015 , surely he was given a 3 year deal ? I can't find any reference to it though, because if it is next summer and it's more than likely we're finish mid table, is Scally going to look elsewhere? I remember him saying once, that he thinks managers in the lower divisions only have a 2-3 year shelf life, as after that they run out of ideas for the players they have.

I believe this indicates that his deal will end at the end of the current season.

No worries, I was interested in confirming it myself. My hunch is that Scally has taken that into account when deciding not to replace JED. If JED turns it around then Scally can say I backed him and he came good. If he doesn't then just let the contract expire and replace him in the summer with no aggro or compensation. Good move I reckon.

Waiting until the summer to replace Jed could be a mistake, a new manager will need time to assess the players we have, and decide on who we need.

I am sure that if you send PS an email asking how much it will cost to pay off the remainder of JED'S contract and those of his backroom team, he will answer.

You can then send him your cheque for that amount, Job's a good'un !

If I remember things correctly from someone's earlier post about the Egan tribunal, PS has indicated that on current attendances we make annual operating losses of 500k which means JED can not use any of the Egan money in the January window.

If we have to find the money to pay off any manager that loses a game 1-0 and only has us 8 points above the relegation zone, assessing the players is all the line of future regular successors will be able to do as they will not be able to recruit any quality before they are the next one through the revolving door.
