How do you think next season will shape up?

Who do we think will challenge? Who will be the surprise packages? How will the promoted teams do and the relegated.

Personally I think all the play off contenders of the 3 that will be left will be there or thereabouts including ourselves. However if Exeter don't go up and Tisdale leaves for MK Dons as is rumoured then I can see them falling away tbh!

I think Moansfield will spend big again so will be challenging and of the teams that have come down I can see MK Dons being up there.

I also have a horrible feeling the Codheads are going to be much better next year as Jolley certainly turned then around!

Of the four relegated teams from league 1 MK Dons are probably best placed to challenge for an immediate return especially if they get Tisdale in charge.

Oldham. Northampton and Bury I can't see doing much

Macclesfield and Tranmere will be happy with survival.

Whichever 2 out of Exeter/Notts/Coventry don't go up will be challenging again as will Swindon and possibly Crawley.

Other teams will make up the numbers especially as some are cutting budgets such as Cambridge and if you read some of the blurb coming out of Mansfield, them

We are therefore very well placed with the right additions to go up top 3

In answering the OP, I honestly have no idea. I will make a promise not to share my anxiety as much though. Even if it does create clicks.

There is a very simple answer: there is absolutely no way of knowing at this stage. Clubs are still releasing retained lists and, with the sole exception of Cheltenham, have not made any signings to speak of.

Ask that question at the start of August.

It will be a tight competitive league and promotion will go to those sides that have a bit of quality to add to the pre-requisite organisation and fitness that is required to partake in League 2. Let the transfer window commence.

Difficult to tell - it was quite tight this year and there are several teams bubbling around mid-table. With a decent manager and two or three quality additions they could push on. I reckon the PO contenders will be there or thereabouts again plus MK Dons. I think Oldham might push back up again and I can see Crawley being the surprise package - they did better than I thought this season and Kewell will have learnt a lot. As for the Mighty Imps, I can see automatic promotion being the Cowleys top priority rather than the cups, for a change. As for year on year improvement with the Cowleys I reckon they have lived up to that. First year in the league they have achieved POs and won in our first appearance at Wembley, against a top L1 side. I'd call that progress.

Of the teams not mentioned I think Colchester, Cheltenham and perhaps Vale will do well. It's early days though.

Tipped Accrington last season for promotion based on the final 15 games best form excluding sides that were promoted.....got 28/1!

Based on this vague process which somehow delivered then my tips for next season are as follows:the beaten finalists, exeter or coventry, crewe and cambridge utd.
(lincoln to make playoffs again)

Wont really know enough until the close season shakedown, but the Cowleys will target nothing less than automatic, and who will argue with them. Remember at the start of this season they targeted the Checkatrade, so I expect the same in respect of the League in 2019.

And have also taken the scalps of 2 more L1 sides in Rochdale and Peterborough.

If..
Tisdale goes to the franchise then they won't be far away.
Flitcroft and Futch are cut some slack Mansfield will be up there.

It won't be an easy division !
And Tranmere will finish higher than Macc, who will struggle.
