Are you suffering from High Blood pressure, High Cholesterol, Atherosclerosis or any problem linked to blocked/narrowing arteries?

There is no pharmaceutical drug available that reverses plaque build up in the carotid arteries by 13% in just 3 months effectively reversing Atherosclerosis, but there is a juice that does.

In a study published in Clinical Nutrition in 2014 entitled

"Pomegranate juice consumption for 3 years by patients with carotid artery stenosis reduces common carotid intima-media thickness, blood pressure and LDL oxidation,"

Israeli researchers discovered pomegranate, administered in juice form over the course of a year, reversed plaque accumulation in the carotid arteries of patients with severe, though symptomless, carotid artery stenosis (defined as 70–90% blockage in the internal carotid arteries).

The treatment group received 8.11 ounces (240 ml) of pomegranate juice per day, for a period of 1 year, and five out of them agreed to continue for up to 3 years.

The remarkable results were reported as follows:

"The mean intima media thickness the left and right common carotid arteries in severe carotid artery stenosis patients that consumed pomegranate juice for up to 1 year was reduced after 3, 6, 9 and 12 months of pomegranate juice consumption by 13%, 22%, 26% and 35%, respectively, in comparison to baseline values."

Also

One small study from 2006 found that drinking a daily 227ml (8oz) glass of pomegranate juice significantly slowed the progress of prostate cancer in men with recurring prostate cancer. This was a well-conducted study, but more studies are needed to find the evidence to support these findings.

A well-conducted trial from 2005 on 45 patients with coronary heart disease demonstrated that a daily drink of 238ml (8.4oz) of pomegranate juice administered over three months resulted in improved blood flow to the heart and a lower risk of heart attack.

I started on it today

I'm gonna be on the lookout for Pomegranate juice myself now.

At this stage, I don't know if 'they' know what Pomegranate is here in Indonesia.......

It's usually the same but with different intonation in Malay so it's probably the same in Indonesian. Pom-mo-gran-eeeeet!

I think tomato juice(or cooked tomatoes) does the same thing Juan?

Not quite as stunningly though Green Tea, with cooked toms it brings out the lycopene which is an antioxidant and as you suggest is linked to reducing heart disease.

Green Tea is also good...!

Pomegreat (I think it is called) is very very nice. Had it for a while now. Thought I'd shared it's wonders on here before actually.

Where do you get from Fear, the Pomegreat stuff and how much is it (approx)? The only Pomegranate juice I can find has the added sugar(and I try and stay off anything with added sugar).

That's great. Think the supplement Serrapeptase does a similar job targeting 'dead' tissue and removing it. So scar tissue and the build up in the arteries included.

I've just had a look in 2 supermarkets over here, the best I could find was a juice blend that contained just 15% pomegranet. I'll check out the health food shops later but that provides a new problem, quadrupeling of price.

Its all I have found as well. I would love to find 100% Pomegranate juice & 100% Cranberry Juice but as of yet all I can find is juice mixed with other stuff like sugar, water etc.

Not being a killjoy or anything, but can I just state the dangers of recommending certain foods in this context.

I have no idea regarding pomegranite juice, good or bad, however, I do know that people who are on medication for heart disease / cholesterol / high blood pressure should avoid certain foods / juices due to the acids counteracting the medication

Grapefruit juice is a certain no-no.

As I say, I have no knowledge about pomegranite juice, but all I am saying is if you do suffer from any of these conditions, please check with your doctor prior to taking this

Not at all holtelower, a very valid point, obviously if any contraindications are indicated I would certainly mention them.

Those on medication should always be aware of what they are taking and it's possible interactions with other compounds, this information is on the sheet you will find in your meds.
