Yes Hess as a player is a legend for us. His first spell as manager was largely successful too, but since then he's really not achieved anything else; including when he managed us and couldn't get us out of league 2.
We need to look forward. There is nothing wrong in appointing someone who has had no previous connection with the club at all provided they can do the job!
