He Only Made Three Saves....

The one against Columbia just before they scored was immense. The ones today I thought were pretty regulation. He still pushes the ball into play, the same criticism I had of Alldrop.

Not complaining we got our first clean sheet and this poor team move into the semi finals - who'd have thought

Have to agree with Hastings here. The absence of a top keeper is what may cost us the world cup. Banks, Shilton and Pickford?

Any team that reaches the World Cup semi final cannot be a poor team.
They are improving, game on game and in my opinion if they can stay together, in a couple of years the will be a force to reckon with.
Gareth Southgate has also proved a lot of people, including myself very wrong.
This, surely is proof that a team does not require the prima donnas, as in the past, to succeed...rather like the BFC team under the management of Ollie.

Having watched their games, England are an 'OK' team and I'm happy they've got to the semi's. I think they'll get to the final but then put them up against a France or a Belgium and see what happens. Good luck lads!

Alli is nowehere near the level of performance he was producing for Spuds 2 years ago.
Sterling is frustrating but he stretches the defence and that allows the midfield to push up.
Maguire has nbeen a revelation, especially when you consider Stones isn't a regular starter for Citeh.
I fly out on holiday on Tues at 0700 and I have dusted off 2 England tops.
My £2 @ 14/1 will not be cashed in :grinning:
Maguire was 10/1 to score at anytime yesterday - kerching.
Don't forget Sweden had only conceded 2 goals in 4 games.
It was a comfortable win.

Spot on Whitey, What team is ever 100% ? None. We're a very good side but there will always be doubters and pessimists no matter what. Any way, me bets looking good at 16/1 !

We will agree to disagree. what I will say is that I thought Southgate was a bad appointment I am 100% wrong so far. I will also say this is a young team so should only get better, but time will tell, they also seem to be a team. I look forward to seeing Dele back to where he was two years ago and not this Billy big balls. I look forward to seeing a left footed wing back too, Young is 31 I believe so this is probably his last tournament. Very impressed with the system but no guile to unlock teams that I think Lallana would have brought.

A great step in the right direction though...Onwards and upwards...The future is very bright.

I don't think we are a poor team, I just think the first time in a long time we have a defined system that the manager has built over the last 18 months that suits the majority of the players in the team.

I do think we have a few more levels to go, I think if Oxlade-Chamberlain was fit he would be in the team ahead of (probably) Dele Alli and the balance would look a lot better imo.

But seriously, can't complain at all. Young spine of the team, the vast majority will be in their prime for the next 4-5 years and this can only be built on.
