...that Saturday was probably one of the best and unexpected results of our recent history.

Even if Charlton threw everything at us and should have been ahead, Holy and the defence still stood firm and lady luck was on our side (for once).

Even if we do ultimately come up short and go down in May, we at least know there's fight in this team, the team will fight hammer and tong for every point, and we have at least three quality players in the form of Holy, Parker and Eaves and they will likely help keep us in the mix with the rest of the division.

It now no longer looks a certainty that we will finish bottom or be relegated, which was a real worry before saturday.

Hopefully, we are turning the corner....

To mis-quote Churchill(not the dog) 'Saturday was not the end, it was not even the beginning of the end, but the end of the beginning'. We have not turned the corner yet, though we are now indicating our intention to do so.

I've always thought football is a confidence game. The longer it takes to get that first goal, that first clean sheet, that first win, the bigger the mental block.

I remember we went two years without an away win, to then won two on the trot. Now we have the first win, it'll hopefully be a huge relief for our players.

Bloody hell. Until Saturday we were the worst team in the world and going no where (sack everybody as they are all crap), now after just a single win, everything in the garden is rosy and we have three class players. Please at least wait until after 12 games before we make any sensible judgement.
