Hart & Sterling Out for a month

Pellegrini:

"Both of them have muscle injuries - Raheem in his groin; Joe in his calf.

"I don’t think muscle injuries can heal in one week. They normally need three or four weeks."

Outstanding

Not that would make any difference to the outcome but Mata could have collected a yellow for his challenge on Sterling.

Demichelis's hospital pass to Hart was dreadful :013:

He does do a lot of faffing about. Best not get me started on his distribution.....how his long kicks hardly ever find a blue shirt, how he dances about as if threatening to release the ball early.....but never does. No, no, I said I wouldn't get started :004:

Do you think they will be missed ???
I doubt it myself.
Willy has shown he has what it takes and we have enough young talent to fill in for Sterling.

Sterling will be missed in Europe, he's been our best player in CL games this season. His recent domestic form however leaves a lot to be desired.

Willy is still flappy but hopefully them League Cup heroics will give him the confidence needed to deputise ably for Joe.

At least Willy will be up for it, having had faith shown in him in the cup final. Imagine a limp Willy if he'd been dropped

What's with all the injuries this year? Is MP too soft on them? Remember when Mancini installed the hill and made players run up it? We didn't lose too many players to injury after that happened.

What's with all the injuries this year? Is MP too soft on them? Remember when Mancini installed the hill and made players run up it? We didn't lose too many players to injury after that happened.

Could well be something to do with training intensity but I suspect it's to do with the medical team.

In the 2011/12 season we had very few injuries, our head medic at the time was a Dr. Phil Batty, who left that summer following a row with Mancini when one of the other medical staff applied some spray to Aguero's ankle which bizarrely resulted in burns.

Ever since Batty's departure our injury situation has worsened season on season.

"Manchester City, who had an astonishing low seven significant injuries in the 2011-12 season when they won the title, registered a whopping 413 per cent increase in days lost in 2012-13, with 26 significant injuries costing them 954 lost days last season."

Batty along with others now runs this place:

Reports suggesting Sterling could be out for up to 8 weeks, so that's his season over.

Also reports that Joe could be back for PSG on 6th April.

Sterling looked like he'd done an abductor muscle in his groin so 8 weeks would be about right. See you next year Raheem. Not good news for England with the Euros looming.

Hart coming back in April would be handy.

In other news De Brunye seems confident he will be back after the international break
