Harry Kane sets out 'real' plans to move to NFL after football career ends

Harry Kane has revealed that he wants to try to make it in the NFL once his football career comes to an end and become one of the greatest sportsmen of all time.
In an interview with ESPN, Tottenham Hotspur striker Kane set out his plans for retirement in “10 or 12 years” that includes having a go at becoming a kicker in the NFL.
The England captain, who won the golden boot at last summer’s World Cup, is a huge NFL fan after becoming fascinated with New England Patriots legend Tom Brady.
Kane is convinced that his ability to strike a football can be transferred to the NFL and the 25-year-old said: “That's real, something that in 10 or 12 years I definitely want to try.
“If you play in the Premier League and the World Cup and you then play in the NFL, would you then be considered one of the greatest sportsmen ever?”
Explaining how Brady inspired him while he was out on one of his many loans before breaking through at Spurs, Kane added: “I started watching him on YouTube. We've had a similar path being doubted when we were younger. Maybe not being the best athletes as kids.
“He gave me a real boost to say, look, anything is possible. If you have that self-belief and that drive and that hunger, you can do it.”
Brady is a six-time Super Bowl champion and Kane has reiterated his desire to add trophies to his individual achievements. He has also refused to rule out having to leave Tottenham if the club cannot match his ambition.
“It’s something you assess along the way,” said Kane. “A lot of people look at it and say this is maybe the best team we've had, maybe the best team we'll ever have, and the best manager, but it's important that we have something to show for it.

“The challenge for us is, can we keep going up and up and up? It's going to be difficult in the next couple of years with the stadium and the finances.”
Kane’s future could also be linked to the plans of his manager Mauricio Pochettino, who has attracted interest from Chelsea, Real Madrid and Manchester United over the past 12 months.
“We both want the same things,” said Kane.
Acknowledging the huge progress he and Pochettino have been part of at Tottenham, Kane added: “Of course we want to go on to the next level and win the Premier League, and win trophies. But to consistently outperform these teams that have always been above us, it shows that we're in a good place.”
