Ronaldo played one game for Portugal out of 3. He played his only game on the Ist of Sept. Kane played in all three for England the last being on the 8th late kick off in Poland and would not arrive back in England until the early hours of the 9th. He then played early kick off on the 11th.

Kane barely moved in any game so your point still doesn't way up.

They were like training games pace.

Ronaldo 8 years older has made Kane look a right nob head.

The big problem with Kane is that he has been "one of our own" for a long time. We expect him to act like a true Spurs fan but his 2021 behaviour is more akin to a football mercenary.

Like the pandemic, he can't eradicate this period from his history but he can make it better. We can't make it change. Only he can.

I wouldn't offer him a new contract. There would have to be a correction from him first.

He was never one of our own.

One of your own doesn't down tools. They don't instigate a move during the season.

If I were the club I would go all out for a top striker and bench him. It's what he deserves.

In the mean time I would push Dele into the false 9.

Well he clearly wasn't one of our own, but he didn't show his hand until he was 27. I think most believed he was though, myself included. His bigger problem is that he's not actually in love with the game itself. He deludes himself that he is but can never be compared to guys like Son and Moura who can't hide how much the game is in their blood. Kane is just another Bale who prefers to be on the golf course.

Agree with what you say though. We need to put all our eggs in the Vlahovic / Martinez baskets in the January window. Leverage the guys like Dele that care and live with the consequences. There will be plenty of goals once we see players like Dele, Gil, Ndombele, Gio, Son and Moura playing in a system that suits their talents.

He conned us all. It does seem Jose was the turning point.

As I said, and one of the reasons for him getting the sack, was he spread poison in ways we cannot imagine.
So who's doing the listening (to Jose)? Last season all we heard was that Jose had lost the dressing him, he was a divisive figure, the players hated him etc. Yet these same players allowed themselves to be poisoned by him? It doesn't add up.

Divison means some listened to his poison, some didn't. Kane and his actions since mid-last season are what happens when you listen.

Sometime soon (I hope) the full story of why Levy was forced to do what he did will come out, although both sides agreed to sign a MNDA/exit agreement so it will probably take an enterprising journalist to report what so many know he was up to the moment his agent was approached to move back to Europe halfway through last season.

I don't blame Levy for acting as I believe he had to, I do blame him for being suckered into believing that a leopard can change it's spots., and I do blame him for allowing Jose to have the run of the building for almost a whole day when he should have been escorted to the door and his stuff packed for him and sent on.

Personally, I believe Kane and others were heavily manipulated, and Kane wasn't or isn't smart enough to realise it, even now. Charlie certainly isn't.

Kane clearly. What other players though? It's not obvious - to me anyway.

I don't doubt what Jose was trying to do.

Ronaldo 8 years older has made Kane look a right nob head.

Ronaldo missed a pen and Portugal almost drew with Ireland only scoring in the 96th minute so hardly an emphatic win.
He didn't play in their other 2 games.
Kane played in all 3 of England's and scored a pen and a worldie from 30 yards plus. But my point doesn't weigh up, OK.

I don't disbelieve the Jose poison thing, but Kane is 28 now. He needs to grow up and get a mind of his own. He's not a kid. He is just punishing himself, Nuno and all of us fans.

Saying that perhaps the Kanes are just dumb. I've never listened to anything Harry has said and thought to myself "that was quite insightful". I actually laughed out loud when watching the Amazon doc when he gave the pre-match rah, rah captains speech. In that moment, I could see why Hugo was the normal captain.

Blaming Jose for Harry's mess, after blaming him for Dele/Ndombele's performance and every other illness over the last 3-4 years remindds me of this quote:

'For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple and wrong.'

Ahh, the sage of Baltimore, so pithy some of his famous quotes, my personal favourite was always this;

The difference between a moral man and a man of honor is that the latter regrets a discreditable act, even when it has worked and he has not been caught.

No doubt, Jose's behaviour was driven by greater complexities, but his after-effects are still yet to be fully exorcised where Harry is concerned.

That he is. But Kane is 28. Not in his mid 30's. He should be given 100% and he isn't.

A prime Kane bullies defenders, presses from the front. He isn't doing either and most fans and pundits are noticing it.

As players age most if not all also change / finesse their game for many reasons - often injury issues can be the biggest driver - we could be witnessing this in Harry.

Personally, unless we can find a solution, we have a problem. He's almost stopped playing off the shoulder at times now and has a tendency to drop deep rather than press and run wide to pull the defenders with him, this in turn forces us to play deeper and on the counter. Can't say I like it unless we intended to only be a counter attacking team.

Of course he can score from almost anywhere, but last season in the back half, you could see how this 'new' way of playing affected his game and his scoring/assist rate, which in the first half had been truly amazing. Second half of the season he simply didn't present the same level of threat as defences and opposition coaches figured out how to nullify his contributions.

Nuno now has to figure out a solution, we just better hope it doesn't take too long.

I can't help but feel that at times we can play fluidly without him, but struggle when Son isn't around..

I didn't know if Ronaldo was playing or not. My point was if he was he would have given 100% in all games.

Your implying Kane was pacing himself due to playing numerous games. That only makes sense if he was giving 100%.

Kane scoring goals against crap teams doesn't mean anything to me. He goes hiding in the big games for club and country.

It increasingly begins to look as if accepting City's best offer would have been our best option.
