From what I've seen he's a good wide player for League 2 (he would get in most, if not all, sides in this division) and will probably be able to cut it in L1. He should make a decent career... he already has one.
I would be very, very surprised though if Sunderland were interested in him (as mentioned by someone recently) let alone Aston Villa. He is quick, but not especially quick. He has more power and aggression than your typical winger but he doesn't have the silky skills needed for the higher levels and his running with the ball is pretty much straight line.
The usual plan when he gets near the byline is to draw the full back and drop the ball back for Eardley or Wilson to cross it. I know Eardley is excellent at that but it's a tactic that's used all the time. There must be a reason for it. Yesterday, he put in a couple of really top quality crosses and I'd like to see more of that.
Equally, I'd like to see him get into positions like the goalscoring one yesterday more often. In fact, I'd like to see that Man City tactic extended to Andrade as I think they both stay wide too long. That could be a great strength of Anderson as he has the physique and energy to get in there, whereas his long range shooting is often erratic. He doesn't looked properly balanced and they all seem to end up in the side netting at the near post.
Those are merely observations which may be wrong. If he does get a move to a Sunderland or Aston Villa, though, then the club shouldn't stand in his way, it would be a major opportunity for him.
