Harris

Is this good news for us though. A lot of the players came here because of Harris. If he keeps them up we may see a few depart. Remember Masterson was on loan to them before he was recalled and came here
 
Bonner has done a brilliant job at Cambridge.He will be a tough act to follow.However Harris might be a good fit for them as long as he can keep them up .Might be tempted to try to get to a game there if he gets the job. Only about 40 miles from home .

If Masterson would rather play for Harris than Clemence then he can go but at a price which suits us (I doubt Cambridge could afford him).

Same for any player.

If Harris and Livermore become employees of Cambridge I would imagine we’d stop paying them so could be beneficial financially.

Not only would we stop paying them we'd benefit from a healthy fee from a development clause. Harris and Livermore going from league 2 to league 1 means big money for the January transfer window.

I wouldn’t rule out Scally negotiating a 20% clause for any points Harris earns. The wily little mole.

A more likely target should Harris get the job is Mahoney in my view.
 
I am not quite sure how reporters in Yorkshire have the best intel in to what is being decided in a Cambridge boardroom?

They are only reporting it as Cambridge are "a rival" of Barnsley, on the basis of being in the same division.

I expect Kent Online were the first to know about David Artell taking over at Grimsby, then.
 
Gonna be very interesting to see if he does target any of our players in Jan or next summer.

Hawk is very much a “Harris type player” and maybe players like Shaun Williams, Scott Malone, Masterson, Mahoney etc. might be on his radar depending on what Cambridge need. At the right price it might suit Clem in getting his own player-types in.
