What PuB saysTook us down? In League One?
Selective memory, We were 23rd and about 10 points adrift after the Fatman had cleaned Scally out and he put Fish in charge to find a buyer. Harris took over and we finally went down on goal difference after Kelman got sent off and suspended leaving us with an unfit Oliver as our only striker.
But....what Shotshy says.
We only went down on goal difference because the bottom 5 were all so bad and so far adrift that season. Fleetwood stayed up on 40 points when every other season in the past 25 years 5th bottom has been 46 points plus (and we ourselves went down with 50 points). We picked up a bit but were still pretty bad and also tailed off badly. 90% Evans to blame for the season but still wish we'd gone for it a bit more in that Fleetwood home game.Took us down? Nerd heaven.
The pre-January form would have seen us relegated with a record low points and goals tally
Agreed, but it is hard to think that we could have had much less firepower. We only went down on goal difference because the bottom 5 were all so bad and so far adrift that season. Scott Kashket is now at Hornchurch:Agreed, but it is hard to think that we could have had much less firepower.
If Oliver hadn't been rushed back we would have had to play a false number 9 against Rotherham with Kelman suspended. That loanee from Norwich with the double barrelled name (Dickson Peters, I think*) never really featured and I think is now playing non league.
Then we were on to the Mandron and Kashket** show
Edit - *now seems to be without a club after leaving Whitehawk.

..... hence the crumble that followed....Yes, but NH was in a situation akin to turning up to a knife fight but he was only armed with a tin of custard
Good article on what Harris has done for Millwall here, also goes into the possible reasons behind his departure::
Chapter closes on one of football's great romances as Neil Harris leaves Millwall
As the Millwall head coach again bids farewell, BBC Sport looks back at Neil Harris' long association with the club.www.bbc.co.uk
He does seem to have disagreed with the profile of players signed in their last transfer window .As I said earlier. He took a role at Millwall as a head coach and then left because he didn’t like the DoF. Same thing happened at Gillingham.
Now we will just have to see who they entrust with the Edwards/Clemence fall guy role, and whether if that manager doesn't achieve his three targets simultaneously they will be gone by the summer. He does seem to have disagreed with the profile of players signed in their last transfer window .

I'm not surprised clubs don't trust him in the transfer market after the squad he assembled where we were heading out of the football league.Spot on. Sees himself as manager as opposed to head coach . Doesn’t have too much of a say in the transfer market . He’ll pop up somewhere anyway
As the saying goes "you pay peanuts you get monkeys"I'm not surprised clubs don't trust him in the transfer market after the squad he assembled where we were heading out of the football league.

I trust you are joking. He didn't assemble any Gills squads, at least not on his own. He arrived a couple of days before the January Transfer window closed so only managed to add Ben Thompson.I'm not surprised clubs don't trust him in the transfer market after the squad he assembled where we were heading out of the football league.
