Happy New Year at Vital Manchester City

Do we all celebrate the New Year?

I know when I was much younger I looked forward to the parties and the booze and Jimmy Logan being the only thing to watch on Telly.

As youngsters Christmas never ever came fast enough, you got to stay up to bring in the new year a shandy was the closest you came to the real stuff and a week lasted about a month.

Now we get older, we wish the years would just slow down a bit.

So we still make resolutions? I just hope the year ends with a blues win.

Last NYE Mrs T and I stayed in and watched TV. In fact I think we may have binned midnight and were fast asleep. This year we're going to our eldest daughters house / family to enjoy a small buffet and a few drinks. Having said that I fully expect to have walked home and be indoors by 1am.

Similar to Buzz, NYE were fine and dandy when I was younger but they don't float my boat like they used to. Sign of age... :007:

I went to NYE in London once when I was at school - didn't see what all the fuss was about and have never been a massive fan since really. Last year we were invited out to a small gathering for drinks & nibbles but I would be just as happy to watch my recording of the fireworks from 2015's celebrations and hit the sack by 10pm. I know - the Grinch of New Year.

Never made any New Year resolutions - if you are determined to do something I think you should set your mind to it whenever and try and see it through. Deciding to do it just because it's the turn of the year never seemed to make any sense.

My 2017 bea happy and healthy one for all on VMC and the rest of the Vital Network community :049:

Happy new year to all on VMC
Cannot describe to you my celebrations in the old younger days in Scotland because I cannot remember them. I do remember the headaches though. :002:
