Christmas is a time for reflection .
I still think back to that game at The King Power, 2-0 up and Sherwood takes off a midfielder for another striker ! WTF was he thinking ??!! If we win that game we probably stay up .

The one that's been eating at me the last year or so is Huddersfield at home last season. Should have been about 8-0 up at half time and they equalise after the keepers clearance balloons into our goal off their forwards arse. Never in a million tries would that happen again. RDM couldn't get out of the hole we fell in after that.

Ha ha yes, amazing how the course of history changes on one single decision.
Mind you, we were so shit for the remainder of the season, we would probably have still gone down but maybe with either one or three more points.
If I reflect on that season (which I don't very often, funnily enough) all I see in my nightmares is the 0-6 Liverpool game. Never been more ashamed or humiliated in my entire life.
Apart from maybe that time in the loos at Toys-R-Us*, but that's a story for another day...
*for anyone investigating historic sex abuse, I am joking. Just trying to spread a bit of Christmas cheer....

Daft thing was we were looking OK up to that point at the King Power. Players went to sleep. Leicester woke up.

I've asked Santa to bring us a change of fortunes from Boxing Day until May.....free flowing football, sensible team selections, imaginative tactics, an injury free squad and lots of points with Vital Villans everywhere riding high in the euphoria of a 23 game unbeaten run, celebratory posts hailing our wonderful team and rejuvenated manager Steven Bruce winning 5 manager of the month awards in a row as we sweep above Wolves to claim the Championship title on the final day of the season and returning us to our rightful place in the Premier League.......ah....the magic of Christmas...!
