Thank you all for your kind birthday wishes.
It was a memorable one, for sure, not only because it had an "0" in it but also because I got to spend it in hospital! - the first time I've been an in-patient in 40 years.
Nothing too dramatic - I've got problems with my gall bladder which are in the process of being sorted. Those of you who've been down the same road will know that it's more than a little painful.
As Fear intimated, there is no wi-fi at the hospital and I expect to be in till around the end of the week. I'm on here because the consultant allowed me home for a few hours today (the hospital is reasonably nearby) as the next bit of treatment will be taking place tomorrow.
Fear of course believes that I am just drawing attention to myself to take the focus away from his forthcoming birthday.
