If you've had an Indian meal at any time in your life in the UK, chances are you've eaten Halal meat, as most 'Indian' restaurants are run by Bangladeshi's (the largest catering association in the UK is the Bangladeshi catering association who have an annual dinner in London where around 2000 owners/people attend).
I am not in favour of Halal, but neither do I go out of my way to avoid it, there are many who argue that Halal meat is more tender and tastier and healthier as the meat isn't stunned first, but drained of blood quickly that stops it from congealing - I've no idea if this claim is true.
At the end of the day, those of us who are carnivores have to decide for themselves if it matters how the meat got onto our plates.... :10:
