Hair and how you look after your mop or not?

Thinking of my last post and my hair colour changes is anyone going to admit to dying or having streaks in there hair at some stage of their lives?

Great thread KK!. Made me chuckle.

I have the high ground in my family which i love. Both my dad and brother are right baldies yet i am doing ok. Although i have noticed a bit if thinning going on recently so i am making the most of it.
Currently sporting a very short at the sides and longer on top style. Sort of Peaky Blinders style but not as severe. I get a bit of ribbing about it, ironically from my baldie mates. Jealousy is not a good trait, as i gleefully tell them.

Been going to the same barbers since i was a teenager. Go every 5-6 weeks , £13.75 and junior melon 1 goes there as well.

Like JPA i shudder at the price Mrs Melon pays where she goes. Even more so now Junior 2 goes with her. Sometimes she goes and has, as she puts it, ' half a head done'. What the hell is that ?!!!!. I just don't ask.

Does a curtsy! Why thank you Mr Melon :14: Half a head means she is just having her roots done! Meaning they do the roots 1 time and a whole head the next. Roots show through with bits of grey or otherwise far quicker than the rest of the hair colour needs redoing.

There is also what they call ''foil half heads and foils full head'' Basically that is highlights done by sections and wrapped in foil to keep the colours separate so they take and don't run

I hope you sleep better tonight knowing all this. The costs I mention will now double with young Meloness going too

Wash my hair every day.

Have it cut every 6 weeks ish.

Costs around £10-£15 because i have a trendy long beard too and have that trimmed - but not one of those biker or Jesus beards, a proper hip and trendy sexy young modern man beard.

Shampoo the beard every day too. Tried the beard shampoo junk but it's just conditioner so use normal shampoo.

Use some hair product that costs around £15 for a toothpaste tube size. Lasts about 6-9 months.

Going grey and starting to notice - my beard has a mallen streak so will probably cut it off and stop wasting money on hair product. Still clinging on to my youth though.

I'm going through a mid life crisis so will probably have a mohawk or something to spice things up before buying a Harley and shagging chicks on Tinder.
 
Nothing wrong with a mid life crisis Lewis. You enjoy looking after yourself. That's good.

10 years ago I bought a shaver, gave it to the wife and said "Crack on love"
It was only after I realise the videos she had watched was the one on shaving the poodle and matted Springer Spaniel. Life tip, dont by your hair clippers from the market made in China with instructions in Japanese. However 10 years on she has it mastered and now gives me a good brush and a Bob Martin shampoo before shaving me.

When I met Mr KK he asked me to cut his hair when he moved in with me, cos he hated barbers. His Mom had always done it before as she had his Dad's and other brothers. I told him I was no hairdresser but he insisted.

Like your wife I went online and found some tips. He doesn't have a shaver for his head though. It used to take me ages when I first did his hair however gradually mastered the job now and his Mom says I do a much better job than her.

Talking of hair, Mr KK hair had thinned over the past few years. He had a really thick mop of it. It's amazing what a good diet can do. His hair is as thick if not thicker now than it's been in years, since he was put on the special diet and he started to get really ill
 
I've got my own clippers .
I tend to do dog 1, then dog 2, then do myself , all in one sitting for means of efficiency and togetherness/ bonding.
