Hair and how you look after your mop or not?

As JPA interestingly bought up the subject of haircuts in the really interesting thread, I decided to make a thread about our hair/top of heads/lack of etc. etc.

Now hairdressers and hair interests me alot: probably cos I am a woman. I must admit to spending alot on my hair. I expect you men all know about this who have women in your lives be it wives, mom's etc. hair do's and costs along with all the other costs us women have

So where do you go, how much do you pay and how often to have your hair cut? If you have no hair how do you look after your head then? I can't leave you men out rather lacking in that department :19:

I do Mr KK's. 2nd son does his own with clippers. Daughter hairdressers ofcourse and youngest goes to a barbers

I think we all should refrain from posting on here and give our Mighty Leader the opportunity of leading by example.

:17:

I wash my hair 2 or 3 times a week. I just go to a bog standard hairdressers and pay about £8 here in the UK.

Of course it was cheaper when I was in Indonesia, just the equivelent of approx. £1.25.

:17:

As I mentioned in the Really Interesting thread, having invested in clippers some years ago, I cut my own hair.

And you can tell! :3:

I've not been to a barber's for years (10 years +) although I do take the boys every 6 weeks or so. Sets me back about £25 for the pair of them. I have no idea how much Mrs JPA expends on hair maintenance. The eye-watering truth would finish me off I suspect.

I get my hair cut every month or two at a local barber shop. It costs around £2.

I hate getting my hair cut. Stilling there with nothing to do while some fella fusses around your head with scissors, ugh.

while some fella fusses around your head with scissors

Occasionally brushing his crotch up against your elbow, with a knowing look in the mirror at you as you sit there helplessly..... :34:

To give you an idea JPA (as I am sure you want one) I spend £77-00 1 month, then £41-00 the following month and so on in that cycle. 1 month is cut and colour, the next month just a trim, and so on.

Thats' just the hair. I still have shampoo's, conditioner and weekly hair treatments to buy. Oh and don't forget the hairspray :17:

JPA what are you doing on the floor?

Great thread KK!. Made me chuckle.

I have the high ground in my family which i love. Both my dad and brother are right baldies yet i am doing ok. Although i have noticed a bit if thinning going on recently so i am making the most of it.
Currently sporting a very short at the sides and longer on top style. Sort of Peaky Blinders style but not as severe. I get a bit of ribbing about it, ironically from my baldie mates. Jealousy is not a good trait, as i gleefully tell them.

Been going to the same barbers since i was a teenager. Go every 5-6 weeks , £13.75 and junior melon 1 goes there as well.

Like JPA i shudder at the price Mrs Melon pays where she goes. Even more so now Junior 2 goes with her. Sometimes she goes and has, as she puts it, ' half a head done'. What the hell is that ?!!!!. I just don't ask.

As I have mentioned before I have not paid for a haircut since 28th September 1968. On the 16th October of that year, I married a beautiful young woman who also happened to be a hairdresser.

I have a Trump haircut
Heath has a Steven Hawkins haircut
Tubbz has a David wilcocks haircut
Body butter has a Tony Blair haircut
Kifkat has a Hilary haircut
VOTN has a bowl haircut

What about me Sas? Can I have a Hitler haircut, since I'm critical of Israel and that makes me an anti-semite these days?

Does a curtsy! Why thank you Mr Melon :14: Half a head means she is just having her roots done! Meaning they do the roots 1 time and a whole head the next. Roots show through with bits of grey or otherwise far quicker than the rest of the hair colour needs redoing.

There is also what they call ''foil half heads and foils full head'' Basically that is highlights done by sections and wrapped in foil to keep the colours separate so they take and don't run

I hope you sleep better tonight knowing all this. The costs I mention will now double with young Meloness going too

Melon Melon someone get the smelling salts

..........................................................................................

There is a picture of Mr KK and I wafting round 1 of the threads on here somewhere from when our eldest got married last year. If your bored and want to hunt for it um I am not sure: maybe the photo thread. I am not sure

I have long hair, which natural colour was a mixture of auburn's, blondes and browns. I was born a ginger, went white blonde in the sun of Cyprus where we were stationed with my Father in the early 60's.

Then my hair colour blended down and darkened after we came home. I have had my hair all colours since I left the ex.

Right now it is a copper, with a strip of black through the side and back right of my hair :14:

Last year for the wedding it was dark red, I usually alter the colour twice a year in some way.

Yes I used to do blue's/ purples and all the other crazy colours in my 40's. I have toned it down a little since then
