Did you know that Ashton Utd under the former guise Hurst FC are the oldest ‘soccer’ club in Manchester?

I say ‘soccer’ because in the 1860’s Football Clubs i.e. Manchester Football Club were rugby clubs hence why City & United (after Gorton St Marks, Ardwick & Newton Heath) couldn’t use it singularly.
