Guardiola to Man City

Spending spree coming up in the summer. They're old defenders and central midfielders cannot cope with Pep's style. But I'm glad he didn't choose LeArse, BlueScum or Manure!

This will start a new era in the Premiership. Now the fun will start, English football will rise up another notch or two. Imagine what Man U, Arse nal, Chavs Liverwotsit AND US have to do now. Actually I feel quite confident about our future. Bring it on Pep.

Will this legitimize Levy's approach to club management?

Sherwood and Harry weren't exactly continental though we're they?

Plus, pelligrini was managing in Europe before city so his management style would have been been European too surely? As with mancini before him

How so 80?

A more continental style of football.

The Premier league is simply too competitive for that approach to take hold - it will be very interesting to see if his game really can be transportable...

Yes. It will. It's like the question I asked a few years ago on here. Has anyone ever won the league using wing backs. It will be fun to watch.

I've said before, Harry was an aberration. A panic reaction that was successful so Levy couldn't get rid of him sooner. Sherwood was a hiccup, because AVB was such a moron. Yes, Spurdon, I said it. Not because of what was happening on the pitch, because of what was happening off the pitch.

Pellegrini seems to have adjusted to England...how would you describe City's style of play?

Pep will spend some big money and get rid of some right crap buys and they will rule the league. I hate that club and there wealth lol, part of me just wished he'd end up at utd.

Rather City than United. There are too many United fans around the globe that support United because it is the only team they new the name of when they first started watching English football.

I really don't see their personnel or the league suiting his style. Means a transition period is coming, as good as he is the premier league is unforgiving and our media is worse. 6 months in and Man City are 4th all sorts of questions will be raised of his ability... Could be very interesting

Was listening to a German Journo this morning, he reckons our media will hate him. Loves himself more than Jose did.

He came across as a really humble, genuine guy when he first took the role at Barca, but both my Spanish friends and German friends have all said he's now an obnoxious character now and arrogant as hell - I hope they're wrong...., mind you it will make for good press..
