Grimsby Town (a): Who Would Be In Your Starting XI?

Bozzie either in a back 3 or as a 3 in midfield.
Never before posted a predicted starting team but it's a real challenge this year and I could easily be 4 players wrong and it wouldn't weaken the team.
Possibly the first time we've visited Grimsby totally expecting a good performance and a win which makes me nervous as hell.
 
I have absolutely no idea and I'm so glad I'm not DC ???. Absolutely sure he will put out a team to do the job though. UTI.

is this the kind of game where we find out if we miss woodyard, or not.

but I could equally swap Pett for Anderson and go 4-4-2

I would trust any of this squad in the team.

Only Luque and Crookes have been unused since the big K.O. I certainly hope to see Luque given a run soon.

I would seriously doubt the logic of adding any more loan players to the squad unless they are back up players only.

This is a very talented squad and keeping them all happy will be VERY difficult.

Captain no certain starter at our club think danny set a precedence with that last year leaving magic man out on numerous occasions , dont be surprised if the same thing happens again , fit 3 into 2 , bostwick o connor freck if we play 4-2-3-1, and they all hav’nt got attitude of previous captain so problems galore but problems you need i might add as a manager , hubbys words not mine im writing he talking:thumbup:

Davis and Whitmore are 22 and 23 respectively. Hardly the oldest pairing in the league!

I wasn't going by age, more of... experience. Compare and contrast:
Wharton career games - 18
Wilson career games - 209

Andrade career games - 216
Rhead career games - 310

Anderson career games - 103
Green career games - 471

I would love to know quite how you developed your 'experience yardstick' and what exactly you based it on.
 
Given performances so far, pretty much everyone deserves a starting place.

So i'll go for:
Goal: Vickers & Smith
Defence: Eardley, Wilson, Shackell, Bostwick, Wharton & Toffolo
Midfield: Frecklington, Pett, Chapman, O'Connor, McCartan
Forwards: Anderson, Andrade, Green, Rhead & Akinde
????
