Bus, hellicopter, boat or on foot? Value for money or just a dirty great hole in the ground?

I'm hoping to go and check it out next year. I'd guess that helicopter is the best way to see it but probably the most expensive too.
Has anyone been there?
Is it worth the 6 hour drive?

The issue for me is the price, I have to pay for 5 people so can't afford the packages you are refering to Deano. I'm looking at driving to the Canyon heliport and taking a 30 minute trip from there, sadly no landing.

We got a helicopter from Vegas over the Hoover dam to a ranch at the bottom of the canyon. We then went on a sunset horse ride then returned for an evening meal songs round the fire and a night stay in a tee pee. It was fantastic. The only downside for us was having to stay in Las Vegas, which is not my cup of tea.

This was the 2nd one I did. A bit expensive but highly recommended, especially if you get a nice sunny day for the boat ride.

6 hour drive? Where would you be driving from? Google maps has it at just over 2 houors from Vegas.

I'm planning to get married in Vegas in 2018 for my tenth wedding anniversary. If we have enough time, we'll hit up the grand canyon, hoover dam, Yosemite, San Fran and possibly a bit of northern California.
