Graham Potter interview

He seems to agree with the conscencus of opinion that everything started to go awry when Chairman HJ appointed himself DOF, doing both roles.
As we can see it eventually ended in disaster and relegation.
We are now giving away players at half the price of what their worth in order to balance the books, rectify his blunders, and appease the hedge fund owners. Yet the managers, players and coaches have to take some of the blame.
The season was barely over when the club exit door was jammed with the fat cat players scrambling to get away, ironically the tearful goalkeeper was first to go, one of the many to kiss the badge with hand on heart, whilst the other hand pocketing a big wedge of cash every week.
Yet it was still in our hands to save ourselves those last two matches, we had home advantage and were playing two bottom sides, but our players collective inept and gutless displays made sure we lost to both Southampton and Stoke to send us down.
They can run away and con some other club out of a living whilst we are left with the shambles partly of their making.
It must be the only sport that is rewarded for failure. The previous failed managers have all been compensated millions and a dozen or so players have already moved on picking up more inflated wages to satisfy their egos.
As we scrape the barrel to clear the high earners, even the supposedly injured Clucas and Mawson are managing to leave, but unfortunately we are stuck with the highest earner at the club, 90k a week and long term injured Bony, and it looks as if we’ll need a crowbar to prize him out of his comfort zone. His salary could surely pay for three top loanees.
