Fingers and toes all crossed. He is a great asset and will be sorely missed. Speedy recovery young man :yup:

Apparently Pellegrini has confirmed that it is not the cruciate ligament

Possibly medial ligament but until they have done a scan they won't be able to confirm. They will need to allow any swelling on the knee to recede before a scan can be undertaken I expect.

Let's hope it's not as bad as feared. Need KDB in the starting line-up as soon as his fitness allows. I would also suggest that he is given the responsibility for our free kicks and corners. Such is Toure's decline he can no longer muster much in the way of dead ball deliveries.

Better than it might have been but still a big miss at this crucial time.

Once again an Everton player is responsible for causing significant injury to one of our players

His agent now says a - minimum - of 6 weeks. Lateral knee ligament tear and ankle ligament tear.

He says too early to say if he will play again this season. Shit.

This was originally published on 15th January but in light of yet another lengthy injury to a key member of the squad it is worth looking at again after De Bruyne's knacking by Everton.

Premier League injury table: How is your team doing?

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35313650

By any measure City's position in the league and maintenance of challenges in all competitions in which they are entered at the start of the season remains all the more remarkable - at that time the highest number of total injuries (47) and the number of players injured (20), third in the teal days missed through injury (behind lowly Newcastle and mid-table Liverpool) this they held the highest position in the league - 3rd.

This does not get mentioned in the bullet points though
