Just noticed on facebook, 4 years since our mate Witton Lane passed away.

Amazing how time flies. What a great guy he was, miss him a lot, the abuse we used to give each other was legendary!

The Cure are still rubbish Michael Tummy but RIP!
 
Yeah and so are fucking Italy still shit the twat him lol loved his rants me and him were definitely out of the same mould had a few words myself with him but always great respect for him because he always gave as good as he got and was never a cry baby respect big man.
RIP Micheal.
 
Which means I have been a poster on here for 4 years. I started posting here at the time Witton passed away, as I remember it all.

Didn't know you however RIP being the Witton ender I have to say in the sky
 
He was so funny at times. He kept pestering me to go and play squash with him. Then he'd remember I'm differently abled and spend weeks apologising. Then he got to know Rev (Rev helped him with some work contract issues) and he was going for a walk in some park or other with Rev and his family and coudln't understand (because obviously I was mates with Rev and the family as well) why I wouldn't go.

I kept being polite and in the end had to tell him in our usual style 'why the f*** do you think I'm not going for a long walk you c***' (we had a way with words (Fieldy will know that also!) and then it started again, weeks of apologising! lol

He'd go play squash to get fit then stop off on the way home and buy a double portion of fish and chips!

I remember him asking me advice on training and fitness etc. I spent ages spelling stuff out. He then emailed a few weeks later saying his arms were hurting.

why, what have you been dooing?

150 bicep curls every bloody day was the answer :26: lol

One salient and important point though folks.... he didn't look after himself, his weight/health... he was dead before he hit the floor due to a massive heart attack.

Probably a good idea for some to stop and think just a little?
 
Yep, you're right. A lot of what you say does ring a few bells, maybe not on the same scale but even so.... i.e. Played 27 holes of golf yesterday, probably walked over 8 miles, then came home and had £14's worth of Chinese!

Maybe being friends with you drives people to it! hahaha....

Harsh, but I'm sure Witton would approve coz he thought you were a twat too. :35:
 
I keep trying to recall Witton tbh but i can't, i joined on here around 2007/2008 ish was he around on here then?
 
I too remember seeing he had passed although I wasn't a regular poster at the time so never knew him. He sounded like fun though!

Wished i could but my brain/memory is terrible/not bright enough honest, RiP Witton dude forever Villans live on witht eh fellow Holtenders in the Sky!! UTV!
 
Four years!!! We abused each other, we occasionally agreed, we got banned together. RIP mate

Bloody hell, 4 years . Had a few chats with him on PM about various things. Genuine bloke. RIP mate.

Top man, mental, but a top man and useless at remember tickets had been brought for him!

Still remember him pretending our eldest was his for about 6 odd months at work when he did the interview at the VFC rally with her in his arms lol
