Glenn Frey RIP

Vital Football Legend
Great band typified the 70's for me as I was bumming around USA travelling on Greyhound buses at the bands peak, so very reminiscent for me.

Great iconic songs and Frey was the main man in the band

You old Groovie Greavsie! Glad you enjoyed yourself. Its funny how songs bring back memories. Yeah, the 60's and 70's, long hair, walrus moustache, skinny rib jumper, flared wranglers, cuban heel cowboy boots..... 'Sergeant Pepper' for me, but these singers framed the days for us didn't they?

So true .... Glenn Frey RIP....

Trailways for me (Greyhound seemed more pricey) in the mid - late 80s....

So Greavise was one of them pretty boys dancing in the court yard huh. Figures. :23:

In the 70's if my memory serves, a month ticket on any Greyhound bus anywhere in the USA plus Canada and up to Alaska was 99 dollars...at a time when the dollar was around 2.4 to the £. In total across two years I spent 6 months over there, at least 3 months on the road....loads of memories and incidents ...good and bad....sex (those american gals were very open, carefree and accomodating, flower power etc) drugs and rock n' roll in no particular order, plus guns pulled on me at least 3 times, one a cop, one a nervous traveller who I asked for directions, one a couple of looney wild westers from a pick-up in a hick town. Overall a great experience ....the world has moved on since those days, and not all for the better I'm afraid. Across the summer of course, did not want to miss the Spurs....

Absolutely gutted at the loss of this man. I've seen the Eagles on their last two tours in the UK and Frey's voice is as perfect as you can get. His voice is soothing and warm. The Eagles won't be the same without him.

RIP sir. You are a legend.
