VMC has made a token gesture payment. Have you?

Hell no!

Did your future work colleagues at your last job have a collection to make your welcome amazing - no, me neither!

It was a bit of shadowing, health and safety, an introduction to the kettle and a brief welcome at my first team meeting.

I'd like PG to sort out the defence and get through the opening round of the League Cup before getting too carried away.

I am with you Kenny on this one for the multimillionaire Pep Guardiola, I will want to see what he does first, before my contribution, which will be to buy some merchandise.

I am not convinced he really wants to come to City and has been tempted not because of the challenge but because we offered most money.

Here's a quote from Pep about Txiki

"The Director at Man City, Txiki Begiristain is the most special person in my life. He gave me my chance at Barca B and then again with the first team. I believe him to be one of the smartest people in the whole of world football"

What is it the 1894 group want you do? Flags or banners, or a scarf on every seat like the club did a few yrs ago for the Derby? And how much are they asking for from people who have to lay out for tickets and season tickets at this time of year, who will have mortgage and rent to pay and work 40 hours a week if not more, to give to a club that is not short of funds to show a new manager that he feels welcome!!!! Sorry but as good as his reputation is, I can't see this getting much in the way of donations, for a multi millionaire already.... this is wrong....imo.

Why?

Isn't his wife/partner/kids the most special person in his life?

I'm looking forward to some of PG's 'tips' on how to regain titles and establish a holistic dynasty at the club...

I don't think the intention is to hand him the cash

I understand that citizhun, and I don't think Pep would accept the donation from the fans, but I think the 1894 group would take the money, I just wondered what they would do to make Pep welcome? But as I buy my tickets and season tickets as well that is supporting Pep and the team/ club, not giving 1894 extra money.....

Cause if he is the smartest person in football why does he buy duds?

They're not all duds, granted there's been a few questionable ones during his tenure but who gets it right all of the time?

He should be greeted by the fans as any incoming manager would be - with generosity of spirit, rousing cheers and lots of clapping on his first home game to show him our support.

He had better win that first game or questions will be asked about the wisdom of appointing him.

Only joking :029:

Seriously though, he is going to be under one hell of a microscope with the media pretty much flipping from expecting him to walk on water and taking his legs out if we don't win all three domestic trophies no the Champions League
