you little tinker. but yea, I'm.enjoying Georgia. everyone laughed at me when I told them that the German coach Greece got in was doing the business. I doubt they will be going any further but it would be great if they did. fair play to them.

Slovenia were not exactly exciting but another enjoyable shit housing. thought the Slovenes were nearly gonna be the team that broke ronaldo.

they definitely had the most entertaining names.
 
The Portugese ex player pundit made a great point last night

There are no easy games to win

Every team knows how to make it hard for the opposition nowadays

I always think back to how we made Arsenal look so average against us when we beat them at home a couple of seasons ago

High end players ran out of ideas against us

But talent wise everyone expected them to beat us

A well drilled team defensive performance with energy and intensity can make even the best teams look poor

Think this is what England are facing

The fact is every team is hard to breakdown. They know the importance of defending as a team and making it as hard as possible for the opposition

And every game is like a cup final for the opposition in terms of intensity they will give

The opposition are out there to make it as hard as possible for us. And the opposition are experienced pros playing high level in Europe

Backed up by fanatical support in huge numbers

And happy to scrap for an ugly result if necessary

That's what we are seeing Every game is cup final atmosphere and intensity from opposition.

No easy games at all. No time and no space on the ball. Except at the back where they are happy for us to knock it around

That’s a good point and like most England fans I imagine , I can accept that.

What I struggle to accept is those sorts of teams being able to dominate us and create better chances, which is largely what’s been happening.

I personally dont feel there's been domination either way so far

Just that we expect to be the better team

But the opposition all have their own gameplan which is tried and tested and very effective at stopping the opposition and getting the odd chance themselves

Also the opposition don't have the same weight of expectation on them or pressure

Exactly like in the Premier League - winning a game is actually very hard

We keep waiting for the team to play great. The opposition won't allow us to. And winning ugly is a good result

Like in the Premier League

We aren't Man City level

Every game is going to be a battle so we just have to get used to it
