That ideology was indeed the idea of the EU, but like in anything else, the ideals of individual politicians dont get a look in once they step into the void.

But we can literally say the same about pretty much 90% of politics. Be it Communism, Conservatism, Labour, Libertarionism, much like religion previously, they all preach the same ideals whioch are really suggested wealth and equality for all. Yet every single one of them is corrupted by human nature

The millionaire marxist ! (From The Telegraph)

Black Lives Matter co-founder quits role amid controversy over $3m property portfolio
Patrisse Cullors cited the release of her second book and a TV deal as the cause of her departure

A Black Lives Matter co-founder has resigned from her role as executive director amid controversy over her $3m property portfolio.
Patrisse Cullors, who founded the racial justice movement in 2013, is a self-described “Marxist” but faced criticism after it was reported last month that she owns four properties, including a $1.4m house in Malibu and a ranch in Georgia.
The 37-year-old says she was the victim of “right-wing attacks that tried to discredit my character,” and that her resignation had long been planned because she has a new book and television deal.
"I've created the infrastructure and the support, and the necessary bones and foundation, so that I can leave," she said.
"It feels like the time is right.
“I don’t operate off of what the right thinks about me,” she added as she denied that finances had any relation to her resignation.

BLM said she had "received a total of $120,000 since the organisation's inception” following the 2013 acquittal of George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watch volunteer who killed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin in Florida.

This was for duties such as serving as spokesperson and engaging in political education work.
Claims that she had misused donations to purchase property were strongly denied and last month she told the Black News Channel that suggestions of financial impropriety against her were "categorically untrue and incredibly dangerous".
But she faced criticism from BLM organisers over the way she has spent her money.
“If you go around calling yourself a socialist, you have to ask how much of her own personal money is going to charitable causes,” Hawk Newsome, a Black Lives Matter organiser, told The New York Post.
"It's really sad because it makes people doubt the validity of the movement."
BLM collected $90 million in donations last year, as the movement hit the global spotlight following the murder of George Floyd by police officer Derek Chauvin, in Minneapolis.

Maybe they should but...
Maybe every single time people try to bring them down the tories gain 3-4 points in the polls, and then push the point for 6 months afterwards.

Also, I take great issue with the phrase 'The lies of our partial mythology'.
Mythology is never full of factual truth, but is somewhat necessary for the togetherness and shared identity of a people. I find it bizarre that there are many on the left who seem to promote certain identities while undermining others, as if its a competition to see who can have the better identity. I find the statue wars to just be more of that, and I don't think the public see it any differently. This style of culture war waging never, ever wins for the left. It just loses more and more as time goes on.

I remember going to the Isaac Newton statue in Grantham with school and it genuinely helped me learn science as a kid, putting a face (even a crappy statue face) to the name I had read in textbooks, and learning about his achievements through the lens of local culture helped reinforce the message that if i learned science, maybe i could become a local hero too. Its one of the few days at school I actually remember really well.

How racist are you for characterising disadvantaged children as all being from ethnic minorities?

That isn't how the disadvantaged measure works at all

I have to nod at that point. Even with the black lives matter thing I feel I have suffered the same problems as many of them. I genuinelly imagine there are less politicians or people on boards of corporations from council estates than there are from black or ethnic minorities.
