General NFFC thread

Nothing surprises me with this lot. It's been the same as long as I can remember the powers that be that run the game, the FA, then the Prem League & of course the EFL bring in these rules that people are expected to blindly follow without question & probably in days gone by people did just follow but those days have long gone, & now everything is subject to scrutiny & legal challenge.

Football finance at the top level is far to complex & far reaching for the amateurish bodies that run our game. Wonder how all this will sit with UEFA / FIFA financial rules as those bodies appear just as amateurish if not more so than our lot, not to mention the whiff of alleged corruption that seems to follow them around

As I've said recently - long term Man City winning every court case may actually be better for us than them losing some of them and getting points deducted

Let's get Champions League with or without them losing any points

And if its easier for EM to invest more as a result of Man City continued rulings in their favour then we can take advantage ourselves hopefully

So no need to get too pissed off if things keep going their way

I dont think they are mutually exclusive. I think we can benefit from City proving that the FA are an abject mess, while at the same time they can certainly be dinged for breaching the same rules we 'apparently' did and therefore receive retrospective punishment.

So, having them docked 12 points, 20 points, or 150 points while proving that APT rules are illegal, is a win-win for us and Newcastle/Villa

Don’t see how EM can turn this to our advantage.

I still can't understand why anyone would join a super league run by a group made of the owners of Juventus Real Madrid Barca etc.
They are a bunch of clubs who can't even run themselves properly.

If the 100 is worth 1 billion, what would a super league be worth?

I’ve been sent this today on WhatsApp. It says it’s been forwarded many times, but I thought I’d put it on here anyway.

I don't like looking to far ahead BUT looking at our remaining fixtures I think we can comfortably get 15 more points at least giving us 62 points. If that happens then what an amazing season it's been. I also expect us to lose our next 3 league fixtures but that won't be the end of the world chaps. I was hoping for around a 50 point season and we're just one win away from that. One things for certain it's going to be a very interesting run in and close season.

20 more points I think would secure a top 5 place

13 games left. Likely 6 wins and a couple of draws.

Big ask as the next 3 followed by Ipswich away are all tough games. Would us to be over 50 points by the time we play Ipswich ideally
