Yep. It’s mad that professionals, in theory, are behind this page. They’ve presumably just gone ‘lost Anderson, not replaced him, finished 16th last year’. No deeper than that.

I trust Glasner’s judgement on our squad potential a lot more than a ‘supercomputer’ that last season had us 75% to go down one week and 15% the next.

Given the change of shape and Schlager coming in I think we have replaced him as much as we need to from a midfield control viewpoint.

Give the quality of Diomande as a signing I can’t wait to see what else they are lining up. And there’s bugger all chance we’re finishing 17th…
 
Nottingham Forest’s Head of Football Intelligence Francisco Belo is leaving the club to become Vice-President for Sporting for MLS side Sporting Kansas City.

Belo’s role with Kansas will be focused on data, analytics and performance analysis.

He had been leading Forest’s Data Analytics department for two years after moving from Wolves. His job was to support the data strategy across the First Team, Academy and Women’s team “to improve performance and create efficiencies”.
 
Brentford have bought well and top 8 for them.

No-one is talking about Fulham enough. I think they drop with Hull and Ipswich.
Palace and Newcastle will be down in the bottom 6 with Coventry.

Sunderland and Everton mid table mediocrity. Biggest movers up the table from last season will be us, Spurs and Leeds. Bournemouth and Brighton lower than last seasons places.

Liverpool EL place. Spurs, Villa, United are unknowns for me, but if I put a fiver on who from those 3 finish higher, I'll punt on Spurs due to the fact of no Europe, and United with 3 games a week, and Villa weaker this season plus 3 games a week, will allow Spurs to take advantage if they strengthen further

One of these new managers will flop.

I don’t fancy Arbeloa to do well at Fulham. I lived and worked in Madrid for a year while he played for the club and their fans regarded him as extremely dim.

Pierre Sage I also see as pretty risky. Incredible season last year in France but nothing remarkable prior to that and not that much experience as a whole.

Then one of Alonso, Maresca, Carrick, Rose will inevitably prove disappointing. Even Iraola could struggle with their fans given he has a history of starting slowly.

I’d love Brentford to go down but sadly also see them doing pretty well. They’ve recruited ambitiously and have no European football to distract them.

Carrick will struggle with Europe to deal with

They expect to compete well in all comps at Man U
