Liverpool will be an interesting team next season.

Will Salah and Virgil stay? TAA is off
Nunez and Jota not good enough for a CL winners. Likely not good enough in a normal PL season.

Arsenal will buy a CF or 2.
City wont be as bad next year.

Kelleher, Robertson, Tsimikas, Elliott, Endo, Gomez all likely to leave also.

They need a RB, LB, possibly 2 or 3 CBs depending if Virgil stays or not. A CF, another top winger, probably 2 and maybe 3 if Salah and Diaz leave.

Liverpool could be next years Spurs and United if they're not careful

Think about that lot leaving. Thats anywhere between 8-11 of their first team squad who likely need upgrading and/or replacing.

Big job for 'in your head' Slot next season
Oohh that hurt. That was the big one. Liverpool at Xmas talking of walking the quadruple. Now out of FA Cup and CL. What is frame of mind going in to Sundays final? Could easily blow that. Last year under Klopp there was talk at Xmas of quadruple and blew all four. Could they blow a 13 gap lead. Could Forest win everything from now till end of season? Too big. Needs to happen now.

BBC Fan Reaction:

(They need a bigger squad)

"I feel all Liverpool players are fully exhausted after these two to three months of extremely tight schedules covering four competitions. They tried their very best as Arne said. Mr Henry, you really need to invest a little bit more on signing players to allow Arne to do substitutions properly. You can't keep relying on the same starting XI to run the challenge to become triple or even quadruple champions."

Which really underlines the challenge we face from here

Oh dear, British media, your darlings are OUT. We can take better penalties than that load of shite!

Some keeper PSG have got though?

Best in the world maybe?

Great saves. 6ft5 going the right way makes it a bit harder to score

I think high and powerful to the top corners is the way forward to ensure penalties go in. Especially against keepers this big and good.

There's Callum and Taiwo and Morgan Gibbs-White
There's Ola and Ando, providing some bite
There's Yatesy the skipper, he's up for the fight
We've got the best team in the land

We've got the whole world in our hands
We've got the whole wide world in our hands
We've got the whole world in our hands
We've got the whole world in our hands

There's Chris Wood, Murillo and Milenkovic too
Elanga and Neco, they're pushing them through
And Matz the keeper with nothing to do
We've got the best team in the land
We're gonna win, we're gonna win everything
So stand up and sing for Nuno the king
(Nuno Nuno Nuno)

White and white as the rhyming couplet?

I think I might hate Real Madrid more than Derby

The most spawny, lucky, least deserving club to win anything based on merit in the last 10 years, spawn their way to another win

Did Alvarez double hit that penalty? From the replays I saw, inconclusive. Hate them so much
Agree with every word.

Cannot stand them.

Refs on their side on everything and they threw a tantrum when they are not.

Spawny, constantly stealing wins they do not deserve and completely dripping with entitlement.

The fact they boycotted the Balon d'Or this year because their boy didn't win says everything about the club.

Chatter in media suggesting MGW to Arsenal for £60m.

Firstly MGW not for sale but he cost over £40m when zero PL experience, zero England caps and no goals or assists. Starting price is considerably more.

Secondly why go to Arsenal? Arteta buys in to the Pep style of pass, pass, pass, low risk football. MGW is into quick high risk pass, decisive movement and high risk, high reward football. It is what ruined Grealish.

Better finish above Arsenal then.

It's a problem because even with 100m we couldn't replace him with a like for like player to bring our style of play together

Ie it's not even the money

Its replacing what he gives us

That would be an extremely reasonable fee from an Arsenal perspective.

A team that has had a good season and spent over £40m on MGW anyway, selling for £60.

Brighton wouldn't start talking below £90m-£100m for a similar player if they had one

Marinakis is no mug, and players like MGW won't be leaving on the cheap - £60m is laughable.I can't see any of the in-demand players wanting out if we secure Champions League football, and you get the feeling they genuinely love it here. Provided we keep up momentum this season, then we keep this squad together and we can recruit from a really strong position in the summer.
