Now for your maths test: Don't forget to share your score. Mine was 12/15. Not bad I suppose. Certainly got me thinking back to school days

.................................................

Equations, percentages, mode, median and mean - these words are enough to strike fear into many people's hearts!

Pupils across Huddersfield will have breathed a sigh of relief after finishing their GCSE Maths exams recently - but how much do you remember from your school days?

It seemed a simple Maths question was too much for Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne earlier this month when he refused to give the answer to 7 x 8, a question put to him by seven-year-old Samuel Raddings from Manchester during a TV interview.

Take the maths quiz at the link below: You will have to scroll right down the page to start it.

I got 14 but only because I have fat fingers and pressed the wrong answer, I should have got 15. Curse you fat fingers on a touch screen!

And I'm still crap at typing on a touch screen today. You should see the state of some of my posts before I re-read them and edit before posting, even then a few errors creep through. lol

You're starting to sound like Col!!!!! I know what you mean though. It's not as easy on a tablet or phone. You do have to make a bit of an extra effort. I find it stops me posting too much of the crap that I do on a PC. It's a good filter - "is it worth the bother to post this?"

OK OK you all better than me at that type of maths. LOL. I disliked intensely at school. Though 5 different maths teachers in 2 years did not help.

Can budget and do all the basics since leaving, some self taught too, however maths was not a favourite subject of mine at school

15 out of 15, or 89%

:3:

That's most probably the funniest thing you've ever said.

:1:

Yup, on occasions I have started to write a post and then just given up before it's finished. Imagine how much crap I'd post if I was always using a PC when on here :10:

Try this one then Col, I got 15/15..........I was more careful with my fat fingers this time. lol

Bloody hell. 14/15, but many were informed guesses. Is that what they are teaching them these days? Glad I'm done with all that.

Many of mine were logical deductions rather than direct knowledge.
