GB news

Our Nige has been out in the channel today , showing French Navy escorting illegals into British waters. Using GPS radar and video to prove it is happening. Our Priti announced £54 million more to the French only yesterday.

Is the great saviour Mr NF thick, its been on the tv all the time and discussed in parliament non stop. In fact the money was announced in parliament.
So he is informing his followers of news that is already known, he is a parody of himself, should have a show with him and cummins where they could both try to show who is smartest to the other lol.

Whoever wrote that clearly hasn’t watched Farage’s show.
Monday he had a guy from Amnesty International.
Tuesday he had anti Brexit Pimlico plumber guy who I believe finances the Stop Brexit nutter outside Parliament.
Last night he had the very very pro Eu Stanley Johnson.
They all had reasoned discussion without interrupting or shouting over each other.
I can’t wait for James O’Brien 😂

Basically nothing wrong with gb news so far that should necessitate some left fascists to try and get it banned or have advertisers quit or demean it to put people off watching it. In fact mostly its not that right wing most of the time its simply very very mundane.
Any obvious bias can be ignored.

Censorship by different methods is not a good thing and i will keep moaning about the uk chucking china tv off the air. These type of channels including RT give a different perspective and any propaganda is not subtle lol so maybe people can make up their own minds.

Mind you during the iraq invasion the us and uk decided that Al-Jazeera was not fit to broadcast and sent a missile through the window of their offices in Baghdad lol.

So tonight Farage had Monty Panesar which was interesting and his WTF was Biden cuddling up to Merkel about Nordstream2.
Yep good old Joe who is convinced that the Russians interfere with western elections.
It now appears he’s not that bothered.
#hypocrite

Russians very angry over the German agreement to increase support for Ukraine in return for US signing off on Nordstream. Maybe for form's sake and not amounting to much all round. But, if Biden wants to confront Eurasia, the US can't do it alone. It needs help, and it can't get help simply by calling its allies a bunch of spineless slackers. Of course, ten years from now, when Xi (for it will be he) has decided that China's treaties with Russia were unequal after all, Putin (for it will be he) will be begging whomever in the US (for it won't be Biden) for help.

How come every thread's turning into political theory?

I heard that the Russians had given assurances towards its future intentions regarding Ukraine, and the US had found these assurances acceptable.

Meanwhile, the Queen Elizabeth carrier group is steaming in the Indian ocean, probably a week or so before sailing close to contested 'Chinese' islands.

Plenty of bravado being shown , all around the world.

They're bonkers on those islands. Taiwan makes some sort of sense -although it would be a cause for war, but driving the entire neighborhood against them on the 9 dash underlines how much they still have to learn about statecraft. Plus the their people on the "islands" are absolute sitting targets if anything got serious.

I imagine the occupants will be in bunkers.
The infrastructure projects reveal they are missile batteries , nothing more nothing less

It wouldn't take a great deal to make those bunkers look like Zhengzhou subway cars, isolate them, and neutralize them. I think China is biting off more than it can chew. Attempt to deter/control South China Sea passage and they'll have convoy spectaculars running through there. Then what do they do? If I were them, I'd put the squeeze on the offshore islands where they can control the air space and sea space. Grab some or all of them and then say to us -now what are you going to do?

Agreed , hence our planned provocation.
International freedom of passage.
Will the Chinese just ignore the actions ?

If they're smart, they'll follow Mao's advice. When the enemy advances, we retreat (and come back when he's cleared off). Of course, what makes sense for a revolutionary peasant army biding its time might not necessarily make sense for a revived great power which is just beginning to take itself seriously (too seriously?) again.

Signing off.

Must watch TV programme for me , if around.
He's certainly ruffling a few feathers , and it's great to read that you are watching his show.
Mrs VG had a poor view of Farage (FB/media derived) but is now admitting he is eloquent , which is high praise from her !

The Royal National Lifeboat Institution has raised more than £200,000 in a single day after defending its work rescuing migrants at risk of drowning in the Channel, while volunteering inquiries have almost quadrupled.
The RNLI said it had been inundated with donations and messages of support since its chief executive hit out at Nigel Farage’s claim that it was running a “migrant taxi service" ......
....
Labour’s deputy leader, Angela Rayner, tweeted: “I’d like to see Nigel Farage putting his life at risk to save others rather than being a rent-a-gob on TV, but I won’t hold my breath.
“It is not patriotic to want people fleeing war, persecution and violence to drown in the sea off the coast of Britain. In fact, it is fundamentally un-British, given we were integral to the drafting and signing of the UN Convention on Refugees.”
As part of its drive to inform the public of the importance of its humanitarian work, the RNLI released harrowing footage of a sea rescue. It also shared testimonies from volunteers detailing the desperate state that the people they encounter are in, as well as the “vile abuse” they sometimes encounter on the beach.

I live close to Dover and have seen them arrive at Deal before.

What i still cannot understand is if you are safe from persecution in France why do you want to risk your life coming to the UK.

What do we have that France has not? Are these people still fleeing from France or are they economic migrants?

Logically isn't anyone coming from France not actually coming from danger and therefore the asylum claim would be weaker. What is the actual legal situation - anyone know?

You don’t have to claim asylum in the first ‘safe’ country. Those countries have taken in millions as it is. Migrants travel to the UK because of either the language they speak or because they already have family/friends here. It’s not for the £100-odd a week fund they may get, or the Covid camp in Folkestone.
