Personally I'm never convinced about signing former players, but his robust style of play is what has been missing from the team.

I agree. I gather he is now a specialist Cente Back rather than a midfielder as he was back in the day but his calmness under pressure and ability to read the game is just what we need when panic stations set in. He was man of the match today. A great signing.

Liddle was worthy man of the match today, however Dagenham hardly put a great deal of pressure on our defence. Boxing Day might be a sterner test.

Yes Harrogate will be a very interesting test. If we get any kind of result it will be a massive boost cos if we can go toe to toe with realistic play off contenders it proves we are contenders ourselves. Sadly, we failed the test against Woking but maybe with the new additions this is a better side than the one that caved at Woking.
