Garmston signs

Surprised we offered two years but the medical team will know far more than any of us and there may be termination rights in the event of injuries.

Would love to see him kick on next season and put his troubles behind him as seems a good guy.

I am certain that the medical evidence would have been looked at many times by many people .Lovell would have had to be happy with what he has heard from experts .

I think the reality is that there are a few teams interested and sniffing around. If he has a good season for us and remains free of injury we only give a one year deal then he could leave us for nothing at the end of next season. Where if we give him a two year deal and clubs come calling we could command a fee. More importantly hope he puts together a good run of games for us.

The other thing is that for the first time for a long while Garmston can go into games and make runs and tackles without worrying his whole career is at stake every time .There must have been many times last season he was concerned enough to not be 100% doing what he wanted to do .I look forward to seeing a Garmston freed up from the consequences of worrying every twist and turn or sprint .

Unfortunately any fast player will always suffer pulls and tears to muscles and hamstrings, Fingers crossed he avoids them but he will need a bit of luck.

With the Club's limited resources, surely they would not commit to a two year deal if someone was injury-prone; for starters, I would imagine the insurers would have a lot to say about it, ie not cover him for any pre-existing condition unless signed off by medical specialists. None of us know the full story but he has to be fit in order for such a commitment to be made, yes/no?

Hmmm not sure about that one personally. Hasn't played anywhere near enough games to justify that. Good luck to him though

The club have committed to re-signing a player who is injury prone but they must be highly confident that they can from this point on keep him fit. I am surprised they didn't offer a one year deal with a second year automatically triggering upon playing 23 games or similar.

He is probably on the same medical insurance he was on when he was originally signed as these things tend to roll over and the premiums are only re-assessed when the customer requests a change of level of cover.

He's not a fucking car ffs! As I said, no-one, except you, knows the full story.

You are like the bloody Daily Mail - nitpicks, criticises often for the sake of it but rarely, if ever, start a thread of your own, insecurity I reckon. Get real, you have an opinion on things but they are not the paradigm of opinions; yours are just some of many.
