Anything to these rumbling about him being unhappy about the contract offer? Hes apparently removed swansea city from his social media accounts.

1k a week increase is being bandied about.

Thing is if we sell him now, we won't get what hes worth as hes unhappy/ agitating. We'd be better off giving what he wants and selling him at the end of the window.

Yep that would be the sensible approach, rather than playing out of position for the majority and then give him a really low offer. Pisstake from us
 
It’s a shame as I was looking forward to watching him in midfield for us next season for the whole thing.

He’s a talented player but it’s good to see we’ve been competitive without him recently if he’s going to be leaving.

We’re probably going to have to sell now if he’s set on going. Both him and Vipotnik likely gone in the summer. Some good recruitment needed. New DoF will be taking over negotiations in all likelihood.

i'd heard similar and just assumed it was just too unrealistic for it to be true. Makes you wonder now. Doesn't sound like Gorringe knows what he's doing down there, some at the club not happy about the whole situation.

Why is this situation not repairable from both sides?

All it needs is promises of him playing midfield next season which he was starting to anyway before his injury

The contract offer might have been insulting but he has 3 years left its not exactly like we even had to offer him any sort of major increase now anyway.

He has the right to feel a bit insulted no doubt but this just seems completely blown out of proportion from his side and almost like he wants a move regardless.
 
Talk on the other forum of him being seen near Everton. Sounded like they were taking the mick though 😂. If it is true a PL move could be good for us. We could make a lot of money from combined Vip and Galbraith sales.
 
Thing is, nobody has any idea how we’ll spend the money now because we’ll have a new DoF in place for this window. It’s all up in the air again for us. Who knows, me might spend it well and go up.
