Gabriel Jesus 2017

Johnny Baguette

Alert Team
Well, I understand he's in town.

If not tomorrow, West Ham Friday.

I say bench him and give him a cameo if we are on top tomorrow.

A lot is resting on this young mans shoulders, but if Pele rates him, then he must be a bit special.

I'm really looking forward to seeing Jesus strutting his stuff. I just hope he's as good as he's meant to be.

No doubt if he doesn't hit the ground running he'll be subjected to all manner of abuse from City fans.

Almost certainly BD

His big test will come in the first five minutes of his first game.

Some cloddhopping wannabe will want to welcome him to the PL , if he gets up shakes himself down and proceeds to run rings round the offender for the rest of the game, he'll be fine.

If he goes in to his shell .................

Maybe he could be given his very own mickey taking derogatory nickname or does that only get added when he makes his first appearance in a City shirt and fails to score a hat trick?

Biggest hope of 2017..he should be the next big thing , he is such a bargain in this sky rocketing transfer prices ..I hope he never joins the robinho, Elano,No haters clubs..sorry jo haters club

He couldn't possibly be as bad as Jo, no one could plumb those depths. Honestly, what a stitch up that was. £17m wasn't it for him?

I thought that was what we paid for RSC - another shrewd signing.

LOL

Well, from what I have read about him he gets a lot of clatterings and gets back up rapidly. To be wearing the number 9 for Brazil already is the stuff of legend. Some carefree attacking enthusiasm wouldn't go amiss for us right now.

Seems like he won't make the FA cup game on Friday. Bureaucratic red tape appears to be delaying his registration. Good old FA.

Gareth Barry, Ross Barklay & co will get the honour of trying to kick him first

NEWS Gabriel Jesus’ registration held up by red tape; could debut for Manchester City against Everton

I find it odd that after knowing the lad's arrival was planned way back in the summer that no arrangements had been made prior to his arrival to provide (rent) a suitable residence for him and his family rather than having them stay in a hotel. Given the renowned, meticulous planning this seems a bit odd and won't help settle him in. Still, gives him more time to get over jet lag and culture shock

As Skoorb rightly points out players will be queuing up to kick him. Perhaps they will have a ticket system similar to the one at my local Morrisons deli counter, that will save players from other clubs turning up for the Everton game hoping to get 'a piece of the action'.

Perhaps Jesus could kick them back - or fall over! I saw it mentioned that he has a slight penchance to do this - leading to a pen chance for Aguero to cooly slot the resulting spot kick into a corner of the goal.

Did Barry kick players when he played for us? Perhaps that was ok or maybe he has slowed down and now kicks out in frustration - not that he was ever particularly speedy.

That reminds me - after Barry, JM7 and Delph isn't it time we raided the Midlands for another midfield villain?
