Fulton & Fisher contracts

Both signed extensions until 2028.. Anyone else a little baffled as to why? Fulton to be fair to him has been playing okay of late but does that warrant a contract until he’s 34? His performances over the last few seasons have been so average. He had a new contract under Russ when he hit a little purple patch and the same has happened again🙃 Fisher will be never be good enough for the number one shirt so is he happy to be back up for 2 years? And even then, if Vigs picks up an injury, how do we feel about someone who’s permanently glued to his line being in net for a run of games🥲

I thought we had turned a corner getting rid of the deadwood at the club but handing out contracts to players who no other Championship club would have any interest in just seems bizarre. Maybe I’m in the minority

If I’m surprised by anything, it’s Fisher signing. I thought he would be looking for first team opportunities. I personally don’t mind them both signing new deals, you need players who can rotate in and with the style we’re playing that becomes more valuable than ever.
 
Agree. Fisher new contract was a big surprise, yet how many goalkeepers would be prepared to sit on the bench season after season.
Good on shots but weak in the air and distribution, can his faults be coached out of him, unlikely.
Fulton I thought he would get another year due to his recent performances.
