Full Disclosure & UFO's

Is it just me, or does it stay remarkably well centred on screen? I'm not familiar with the Hornets capabilities, but to predict the movement that accurately would take remarkable technology in itself.

These videos are always interesting, SJH, yes. I know you are with me here, when I say not everything unexplained is alien.

$22m of black money, and it will be the nutjobs that think it's an alien craft. Any other money disappearing like that and they wouldn't trust the findings.

Of course Heath, they don't have to be alien but they sure are something. The one that seems to slow down and rotate is very odd. Another countries secret program? But why would they be flying over San Diego where those F-18s could track them?

As for it staying centred on screen, I can only assume it's using some kind of tracking, but I can't really say for sure. That was 2004, but I imagine they were very advanced back then anyway.

I am a wildlife photographer who has spent years trying to track birds in flight. I know how difficult it is. That footage looks like they know which direction it's going, at all times. Or, and forgive me for this, it's superimposed after the event.

If it is real, then that was some system, even now, never mind 13 years ago. I want one!!!!!!!!

I wonder if Countries like China just want to stoke the fires a bit sometimes? They could be spy drones, or just designed to perpetuate the conspiracies?

Whatever it is, you probably know what I'm going to say next, and you are welcome to slap me on the back of the head in frustration. Proof. Where's the physical proof?

LOL :13:

I'm pretty sure those F-18's have locking systems and the likes, would it really be that overly-complex for a $100 million fighter jet? Maybe you need a £100 million camera to get that luxury!

If you're suggesting the videos are not real, or the object is superimposed, then doesn't that open up a whole new bag of conspiracies? The footage was released by the Department of Defense, it's not like it was found on Youtube where anyone could have made it. Is it meant to fool us, or distract us from something? Again, that's going down conspiracy road isn't it?

I was just laying out the options, really. Yes, if it's faked then that would open up a whole new conspiracy, but if you'd wasted $22m of taxpayers money, you might want to make it look like it was worth it?

On the technology front you'd still see the target leave the reticule as it changed direction, even if only for a brief second. As I say, I don't know what they've got, but it looks a little weird to me, because it's not what you normally see.

I've watched both videos back again, neither of the objects change direction so I guess it would make it easier to track them?

There is some slight deviations from the reticle, in the first video a big one near the end, and a good few in the second video.

I actually didn't see the very end of the second video first time round. The object changes and shoots off to the left in a very unusual manner. What did you make of that?

It seems to stop, rotate, and slightly change direction near the end. I know it's just me. It's more likely some sort of drone, but it's always good to keep every option open until it's disproven.

I'm amazed they were allowed to release it. I would have thought it was classified.

Got any more? i love these.

I've just read an interesting article about this. It seems that it has received no attention at all from the Conspiracy theory community. Infowars, reddit groups et al have all deemed it not worth a mention.

That confuses me. Isn't this sort of thing what they've been waiting for? Isn't this soft disclosure? Have they not said all along that there are secret government programs?

Could it be that the NYT is stealing their thunder, and they are having a bit of a sulk about it?

That's odd Heath, I'm not really up to speed on the Conspiracy community but yeah, you would think this would be all over the place. Maybe they feel the aliens have sold out by appearing in mainstream media?

This could be down to "To The Stars Academy". I follow Tom DeLonge on Twitter and he's been promising something big for the last month. Of course I thought he was full of shit and let him know a few times, turns out the guy in charge of the Pentagon program Luis Elizondo now works with the Academy. It seems they wanted the story and footage to specifically break in the NYT.

I saw just Harry Reid on Twitter too, I think he's right in what he says....

"If anyone says they have the answers, they’re fooling themselves. We don’t know the answers but we have plenty of evidence to support asking the questions. This is about science and national security. If America doesn’t take the lead in answering these questions, others will."

I agree with that tweet. It is about science. It doesn't mention aliens at all, which is great.

The trouble is, we've seen these sort of videos before, and they are impossible to answer. Unless the manufacturer of the UFO comes forward, or a whistleblower tells tales we can never know. This is the frustrating part of it all.

If only Tubbz was here to tell us what the Conspiracy community view actually is. I'm sure he'd know.

To be fair I haven't seen the word aliens at all mentioned from anyone.

Just digging around a bit more, they have released 2 of 3 videos they have in their possession. Wonder what's on the 3rd one??!

I'm pretty amazed that so few people seem that interested. I showed my housemates the videos and explained what was going on, one made a joke saying it was Batman, and his girlfriend just complained she didn't know what she was supposed to be looking at, both then went back to watching TV. I haven't seen anyone talk or post anything on Facebook. Is it the boy that cried wolf effect? Maybe this is how soft disclosure works :10:

And yeah, where the hell is Tubbz?? He should be all over this!

Another theory I saw was that with Trump ruining the planet, this just doesn't seem that important anymore.

I'm sure us two have talked about the boy who cried wolf before. With so many fakes, frauds and crooks out there this was always a possibility. People are somewhat immune, which is why it makes no sense that any of this stuff is hidden. I can't see why any Government would bother hiding such innocuous evidence. The CIA dump earlier in the year was the same.

It looks like this fella knows something we don't:

The existence of UFOs has "proved beyond reasonable doubt", a former Pentagon official has said.

Luis Elizondo, the former head of a secret US government programme, believes that Earth may well have been visited by alien life via the unidentified aircraft and that there is also proof.

This thread, other threads on here, and talking in real life to a few Trump supporters, conspiracy theorists and my wife (she is big on emotions) has taught me that the concepts of evidence, proof and logic are not as universal as I once thought, or at least people's understanding of these concepts is not as well underderstood as I had hoped.

I spent some time on a US right wing site the other day trying to convince them that just because a party is called The National Socialist party, it doesn't necessarily have socialist values. Apparently the Nazis are now left wing. Who would have thought it?

Evidence didn't play a large part in their thinking.

Stephen Jay Hawkings - 26/12/2017 15:49

The existence of UFOs has been proved. Whether they are alien or not is the question.

Correct, but people like Elizondo are part of alien UFO organisations, so any interview with him is already tainted. It's his moment in the sun after the disclosure of that secret UFO hunting program.
