Fulham v Villa Match Thread

The Fear

A Wise Man (once sat next to him)
Ok, newish theme here.

The 3 thing articles.

Anyone got any suggestions for the 3 things we need to do to beat Fulham?

Are there any players we need to silence for instance?

Ryan Sessegnon is certainly the man we need to silence.

He's only 17 but has scored 11 goals in 31 games this season from left wing (similar stats to our own Uncle Albert).

He's also just coming off the back of winning both the PFA Championship Player of the Month for January and also the EFL Championship Player of the Month for January.

I actually said to SirDennis at half time yesterday that if we go up and Fulham don't this is the kind of player we need to be signing.

I can confirm that Deano did indeed say that.

Tricky game this but my final assessment is

1/ Play like we did yesterday.
2/Press the high as Fulham always faff around at the back and play themselves into trouble.
3/Capitalise when we are on top.

Oh yes I remember you saying that. I thought you were talking to both of us, hadn't realised it was just sirdennis :2: :19:

I was too ashamed to talk to you by that point after what you pulled with the free beers. Shocking.

Yeah, as I have said on the Fulham match thread, and as Deano has already said, we certainly need to keep Ryan Sessegnon quite.

We'll certainly have to score more goals than they do........

Just show the pride passion and togetherness that we showed Sunday.

We have the players, individually, to beat pretty much everyone in the league - we just needed them to turn into a team.

Teach Sam Johnstone to kick a football

Get stuck into them high up the pitch

Wait for them to cock up their tippy tappy stuff and pounce like Lions !

Score more than them.

Let in fewer than them.

Play as per yesterday or, better still, like we did against Bristol City.

Look at the table, look at the form guide and see that they are second BUT we are first, remember the M1 northbound is for winners.

1) Pin up a picture of Ron Saunders with the First Division Trophy

2) Pin up a picture of Dennis Mortimer with the European Cup

3) Create a montage of Holte Enders in the Sky such as Paul Birch, Dalian Atkinson, Cyrille Regis, and all of the other deceased Villa legends and pin that on the wall

This is what Villa is about - great tradition, great support and deserving of respect and if that does not inspire the team nothing will

:1: :2:

Honestly, all we have to do is keep putting in the work and this division is in the rear view mirror. Hopefully our experienced players will keep the younger ones from getting giddy before the job is done.

Three things to do on sat
1.keep a clean sheet
2.Score a goal
3.Dont get injured or booked
easy aint it

Missus has decided to go out with her mates tomorrow, which means by default I get a pass... anyone have a spare ticket or let me know tomorrow if someone drops out.

Even the mixed sections are sold out!
