Automatic promotion is now out of our range, full focus must therefore be on the play offs. We need to finish 4th or 5th in the table to get a first round tie against Forrest with a view to a Fulham v Brentford final. With this in mind tonight's result is of little importance and is best used to misslead Forrest into a false sense of security for the probable play off match and to ensure we have our best team fit for the more critical home game against Cardiff on Friday. It is also an opportunity to give our fringe players match time.

‪Woeful from Ream, brilliant from Hector‬.

The top two, won't exactly be quaking in their boots if they are watching this one.

Leeds have just spanked us so why would they be worried.

How long before Arter us sent off?

How long till josh is, very stupid what he just did.

We look poor... so do they.

I´m watching Forest vs Fulham. What game are you watching. Two well matched teams doing their best to play football.

How has Samba Sow not been booked so far. Committed so many fouls and started loads of little incidents.

Its not been a thrilling first half. Neither keeper has had anything to do. We have zero in the final third. Not sure really what we can do to start creating anything, maybe change formation. Kebano has done nothing.

And of course Arter just scored from 25 yards as I finish typing that! Only way we can score!

What a goal.

Great time to score

What a great player Arter is. Has to start every game.

Let's be honest that was not a screamer. Gets himself into trouble, falls over and somehow ends up getting the ball back in space. My reaction when it went in was to burst out laughing.

Sublime goal and Fulham well deserved to take the lead, we have been the better team on their ground.

Think we are playing okay. Controlling the game and great strike from Arter there. Do the same in the second half and I will be very happy!

Surprised at the negative posts in regards to our performance even if we were going in to half time at 0-0. Forest are an extremely physical & direct side and we've dealt with the pressure well thus far, while creating a few good opportunities on the break.

Need to take back control of midfield. NF just building a bit of pressure. Substitutions make a lot of sense.

Ref seems reluctant to give any Forest players cards.

Job done, really good, professional performance, I have to say.

3 wins on the bounce, boys put in a great shift to hold the lead 2nd half, deserved win.

A real professional performance. Better team all over the pitch. No one let the team down. The Parker haters will be very quiet. Every player put in a real shift.

Without the Arter long shot... deflection.. wonder strike.. whatever.. I really did not see us scoring.

Decent and deserved win away to the team in 5th. Was always likely to be a physical battle rather than a game of finesse, we rode the storm at times but having done that Forest had no plan B.

Good result, and no naivety, a little bit dirty here & there, very well done, excellent result.

Good performance and win against a strong Forest side.

Forest fans celebrated like they'd won the World Cup when they beat us at the Cottage, shame we couldn't repay them in a similar fashion.

Against a team like Forest who play on the break, getting the first goal was just what we needed.

Very professional performance against a danger team and without key players.

2 post lockdown games with Mitro - 2 defeats.
3 games without Mitro - 3 wins.

What to do with the next ream selection?

Whilst our attack found it difficult we know from the Cottage that Forest can defend very capably and their right back is brilliant.

Forest were our peers in terms of league position/points, we nullified them and they barely got a sniff all match. We also had few chances but a fantastic opportunist strike proved the difference.

Jenkinson played Right Back in the game at their place

Is Jenkinson fit? Looking at the lack of dynamism in the middle, it might make sense to bring him in and push Cash in to middle or have it as an option from the bench at least.

the ref was poor for both sides at times, missing penalty incidents both ends and letting artur go in off his feet a number of times

worth a punt

we know cash can bomb up and down and cross

play him on the right mid, push joe up with grabs, cant be worse than we saw for most of the second half yesterday

Bit blinkered they did have more of the ball but that's how we like it, we just weren't on form when we got forward. The goal killed it and it's arguable that it was handled, our subs da Costa aside and maybe Mighten were terrible we needed someone to make something happen. Ref was particularly bad.

Pushing cash forward has to be considered if Lolley is struggling, Jenkinson had a mare last time out but he's a decent enough rb to play behind cash who will cover as well.

Arter didn't even get a booking, one was a scissor tackle both feet of the floor that should be a yellow all day.

Lolley possibly injured. Subs are not of same calibre. Agree with rotation and rest but looking at our bench and rivals bench is a different world. Think pushing Cash on is a real option. Darwickwa can play fullback or Jenx. Carv has done nothing for 18 months but we know he can find Grabban with a pass. Our lack of fire power in centre has been really highlighted. What does Sabri have to do to show the money men where Forest need strengthening. Look back two years and all on vital were shouting it.

Totally agree guys and I’ve been saying this for a week or so.

for Preston we need a change. Sow, Lolley Watson and Fig need a breather. I would pick this side
Samba
Jenks Daws Worral Ribeiro
Cash Bostock Silva
Costa Grabban Ameobi

subs to use in this order - Carvalho, Watson (20mins) Figi (for Worrall) Walker for any of the front 3 if needed

sow and Lolley hopefully back for Swansea

Lolley should never have played last night .
Would of played Cash on right Jenkinson RB .Used Carvahlo as sub and also Costa .

I don't particularly rate Jenkinson, but putting him in at RB and pushing Cash further forward has to be better than most options that we have as a Plan B.
