Blackpool Football Club can confirm the pre-season schedule for the upcoming 21/22 Championship season.

Neil Critchley’s side kick off their preparations for the new season with a visit to National League North side Southport on 10th July.

The Seasiders will then head on a pre-season training camp, culminating in a behind-closed-doors friendly match with League Two’s Newport County on 17th July, with trips to Carlisle United and Morecambe to follow before the end of the month.

A Blackpool XI will also take on Squires Gate on 9th July and Bamber Bridge on 30th July.

Announcements on any further fixtures will follow.

Pre-season fixtures:

Friday 9th July – Squires Gate v Blackpool XI (A) – KO 7:30pm

Saturday 10th July – Southport (A) – KO 3pm

Saturday 17th July – Newport County (N) – KO 12:30pm

Saturday 24th July – Carlisle United (A) – KO 3pm

Friday 30th July – Bamber Bridge v Blackpool XI (A) – KO 7:30pm

Saturday 31st July – Morecambe (A) – KO 3pm.

Ticketing details for the friendlies will be published in due course.

Blackpool Football Club can now confirm ticketing arrangements for the pre-season friendly against Rangers on Wednesday 21 July, kick-off 7pm.

Home tickets for the match will initially go on sale to season ticket holders from 10am tomorrow (Wednesday), with seats held on reserve until 10am on Friday.

The Club is advising supporters to wear a face mask when attending the stadium, however conditions of entry may be subject to change, based on Government guidance.


Tickets will be priced at:

  • £20 for Adults
  • £10 for Seniors (65+)
  • £5 for Under-18s
From 10am on Friday, tickets will then go on sale to supporters with a previous purchase history.
