French Revolt - Denied

Well sort of.

The club earlier today banned local Journo, Luke Edwards from the ground and followed up his story of unrest with a solicitor's letter.

The editor of The Telegraph replied to this on Twitter by basically saying that there will be no apology.

The saga continues.....

Is this the only paper to have been targetted like this?

Instead of stuff like this, why don't the club just wheel out Cabaye to explain how the players and staff are going to get us out of this bloody mess?

You know what we're like.

When we cock it up, we like to do it big budget.

You make a good point Taff, rather than having a senior squad member come out and deny a rift, they try and silence those reporting it on the quiet. As they say, actions speak louder than word, and once again the hierarchy's actions show they have something to hide. Either that or they asked pardew, he denied it and they took his word for it

They'll send the crying Geordie out gain pre match don't worry

Christ, surely they have got to come up with something better than this? Bloody hell - if that story has upset the apple cart within SJP, then may I suggest it is the underlying problems that need to be addressed for a shit, piss-poor season rather than sending lawyers after newspapers. Christ - look at the bloody football results man - 0-3 to Sunderland, 0-6 to Liverpool when we are in a relegation fight and players just giving up? It is inevitable that conclusions will be drawn from that as to what the hell is going on at the club.

Exactly Taff. What conclusions were they expecting to be drawn, not just from the footballing performances, but the body language and total apathy?

Look at Villa, Wigan and even the Mackems initially. All fighting. Even an out of form Stoke won, and Norwich keep battling for draws.

We're getting absolutely humped with three games to go, the players don't look arsed, and they think papers aren't going to notice??

Good luck with them banning the entire world if that's the case, because that's what will happen if they go on with this approach.

Whatever stories came out, and i'll admit to not reading any, partly because when we lose i hide from anything to do with nufc (apart from here) and secondly i rarely read newspapers, i fear they seem to have started wholesale rumours of a problem with our french players. This is a disgrace because so many people will and have jumped on to this.

We at this club should know most of all that the national newspapers love to see anything go wrong up here. Of course we have a huge history of making it easy for them with players so often making headlines for the wrong reasons, our owners always being pricks and the same said about a lot of our managers.

I have been having a go at all things newcastle for quite some time now but I simply don't put the latest performances down to a problem with french speaking players.

I can quite imagine if we had been threatening the top 4 again this season the national press would be looking all over for a reason to knock the club and cause a stir and I honestly think the amount of french players we have here would have been used to get the fans going. Lets face it, many of us react on rumours and many are ignorant enough to jump to the conclusion about french people.

The club has fucked up of course, but only because of their reliability in being unprofessional. The club should have just went public to not only chastise such cheap reporting but admit just where the problems lay and what they intend to do about it.

I think the issue that was being reported was that some of the french lads...Cabaye inparticular were upset that our tactics were all over the shop and they're miffed that they're getting blamed. Add to that some of the other players voicing their opinion that not everyone is giving their all and you've got a mess.

Don't think it's a case of the French just having a flounce because they don't fancy it.

Newspapers have always made things up. They would be better off concentrating on Saturday than pay some greedy fucking solicitor £500 to send out a pointless letter.

I'd cut Pardew's head off in front of the French lads if they would stay. That's how much I rate them over him.

Actually that makes me wonder if the egotistical manager of ours wasn't behind blaming someone else to get out of the firing line. bet if he gets the boot he'll blame them.

After we have cleared out the French in the summer, it will be our German squad that gets the blame next year.

Official site making counter measures now, couple of quotes from cisse and tiote about how together the players are http://www.nufc.co.uk/articles/20130501/united-we-stand_2281670_3164166?. Also llambias saying these "False rumours" don't help.... bit rich him accusing others of saying things that are false

The 0-3 and the 0-6 don't help either - who is feeling the heat of the lawyers after them results then? Talk is so fucking cheap at Newcastle United.
