Frankie Boyle

I just think he was like - right what can I say that will be extremely annoying and piss the Daily Mail off, that will win me fans.

He's the comedic version of Jedward.

I used to like Jo Brand but now think she's so far up her own arse, oh perfect world this and aren't I so clever and moody and funny and oh I'm fat isn't that funny look I can laugh at myself and I can sit on QT and get laughs so I must know what I am talking about another fat joke about me and a swipe a right wingers and another fat joke............ HUH BREATHE

There has never been a funny female stand up comedian ever, in fact even funny comic actresses are few and far between.

Lol, I know what you mean, I find that Geordie one quite funny, but I say to my wife all the time, women are not funny at stand up, God, I used to cringe when Victoria Wood opened her mouth (insert funny joke here)!

I did love French and Saunders when I was a kid though, Sybil Fawlty was well written and brilliantly acted. Also Connie Booth co-wrote Fawlty Towers so they do know comedy but the delivery is so much better, generally from a man!

That is not a sexist view, but when I see a female stand up walking on I think, here we go this will be shit, and 95 times out of hundred she is.

Right I best duck when kefkat sees this :67:

I like(d) the vicar of dibley, and nana in the royal family.

That is it as far as female comedy goes.

I like him. He is a Socialist.

When I was briefly on Twitter, Boyle was the funniest thing on there by far, and he always talks a lot of sense on interviews. Never seen his comedy act.

I saw an interview with him where he said he would like Scotland to be a socialist utopia. Doesn't sound like a sensible thing to say to me.

He is a comedian. He was probably joking.

catherine tate isnt too bad. I love the nan she plays. But in general women arent funny and rely on men to make them laugh. lol.

Liked him on 'Mock The Week' but, as others have stated, he's a bit one note now and that gets a bit boring for me. Every joke seems to be put together in the same fashion:

"Did you see about <insert d-list celebrity / politician name here>?
He/she looks like a fuckin' <insert insult here, ideally a derogatory phrase for a disabled person>
Trying tae <insert abstract comedic action such as "peel an apple with a calculator" - better still if it's a sexual action e.g. "wank off a cheese grater">.
Next person..."
